Bellevue Hotel

The hotel is fine, breakfast was good, my issue was that I was unwell so had to change my travel plans. I requested permission to cancel my booking, it was not granted. I understand with cheap flights etc that you can't cancel a booking but my hotel room booking was not cheap, but was at regular price. I even phoned to explain my situation but was told to refer to the booking conditions. Not good service. Short term gain but longer term loss as I and none of my work colleagues will be staying here again in future

Overall my stay was alright, room’s clean and staff was quite friendly, however, the toilet smells like cigarettes although the room clearly says no smoking, I’m not sure about whether it’s coming from the ventilation fan or something else, but throughout my stay there’s always the smell of the cigarette in the toilet.

We stayed there two nights and wished we had one more in our family suite. Our daughter loved the spiral staircase in our room. It was a bit warm on the upper floors (there's no AC, which is typical in northern Europe), but they had a balcony and fans which was fine. The trick in Europe in the summer is to block all light during the day and let the cool air in during the evening. Anyway, the staff was super helpful and the location was good for walking or taking the tram. Also, there's a Rewe grocery store nearby- maybe 1.5 blocks away in case you need something. It's small, but my husband was able to find some deodorant/personal care stuff there. Buy a reusable bag from there and then stock up on water, snacks, or whatever you need for the day or your room. Bellevue has their own parking lot for under $20 US/night. You need the staff to help you, but once we parked we had no need for the car as you can walk and take public transit. The garage is secure. We would stay here again next time we fly into Dusseldorf.

Quadruple room for a family of four was perfect size and space to relax and not feel cramped. Bathrooms are modern and clean.

The sincerity, friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel staff, from service to cleanliness, from reception to kitchen, are admirable. When I came to my room, I always found my bathroom and room clean. When I returned to my room, which I left in a hurry, even my pajamas were folded. The bathroom, sink and kitchen are really clean. Breakfast was buffet style and was very nice. The hotel offers free tea and coffee 24 hours a day. Friends at the reception are there to help you whenever you want, 24 hours a day.
