Outstanding value cozy warm and clean nice hot shower and most of all a peaceful nights sleep. Arrived late the room was warm and ready for me with clear arrival instructions. The Restaurant was closed so they recommended a pub down the road which was perfect as well all in all 10/10 for everything….❤️

Disappointed! On arrival, checking In was quick with very little information given, when I asked about breakfast I was told she would tell me later. We had a garden room on the ground floor and on first inspection it appeared very comfortable, however the mattress needs replacing immediately, because it is 2 single mattress put together both sagged in the middle, the duvet was too small for the bed and was very thin. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable, I glad we took our own. As stated we were staying in the a garden room 27, number 34 was above us and the nose of cricky floorboads was unbelievable, the couple above would be moving around for hours at stupid hours 11pm to 1 am and 6am to 8am it was a nightmare and not very restful The bathroom was modern and clean, the shower was powerful however the drain could not keep up with the downpour of water, my partner removed the flitter and that improved the drainage. Our room was serviced on request but didn't leave enough toilet paper. We ate in the restaurant on the first night, basic food and we decided we would eat out afterwards, breakfast was good value for money and the quality was good. We have travelled to many hotels over the years and we have always had an open tab attached to our room, on this occasion we thought this would be the same until breakfast, when the waitress asked us to settle our bill from previous night meal along with breakfast, this I found rude as we had paid to stay in the hotel for 3 nights.

Warm and welcoming, clean cosy room - even has Netflix! Very friendly staff. Lovely old building with pretty gardens. Small choice for evening meals, but it was tasty and fresh, we had the snug to ourselves like a private dining experience. Breakfast was delicious, plenty of cereals and yogurt choices, freshly brewed coffee and a tasty Full English. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly welcome and pleasant staff throughout our stay. The hotel is situated in a quiet location very close for the North Yorkshire Moors, coast and Vale of Pickering. There is some ground floor accommodation in the courtyard for use of anyone with limited mobility, although to date not fully accessible for anyone confined to a wheelchair or similar mobility restraints.

Stayed at the hotel this Friday/Saturday just gone, and as a family we were extremely impressed. On the Friday we had a really long day travelling, my two kids were over tired, and we got to the hotel hungry, wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to the hotel manager Amy, who stayed later than her shift, to cook us two and the kids some chicken goujons and chips, despite the kitchen not being open due to works. (informed of this before our stay). The room was lovely and clean, beds really comfy and we slept extremely well. Couple of maintenance issues over the weekend, reported to reception that a couple of bulbs needed changing and the heating wasn't working, and Amy came over even though not working and sorted both straight away, which was greatly appreciated! Ample parking and the grounds are beautifully maintained. We enjoyed a drink in the conservatory during the day on Saturday before heading off to explore the coast and find some fish and chips! Would highly recommend to anyone and will certainly be returning and recommending to friends and family.

I had the best 2 nights sleep ever. Comfy pillows , bed and room perfect temperature. The room was on the small side but just what we needed. Clean and nicely decorated. The price was amazing and we agreed we we're surprised at how good value it was. The hotel is a little way out from local towns but good if you are travelling by car. We had drinks in the bar that were reasonably priced. There are a few pubs in walking distance if you fancy some pub grub! My only slight negative is the walls are very thin which didn't bother us but might others. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning in the future!

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There is no restaurant and despite our booking advising continental breakfast available we were told there was no kitchen and no food. The room was basic and noisy because of lack of insulation. We had no response to any emails prior to our visit. There were no staff available at reception apart from a few hours in the late afternoon . We would not return.

Where do I start ! Met at check in by a pleasant young lady who gave us our key. Room just across the Courtyard and it looked an extremely lovely place to stay. That was soon shattered by the vile screaming and shouting from the excedingly drunk couple next door to us. By the time we had unpacked, all the time listening to next doors language, I thought a visit to reception was in order. No one there, in fact no member of staff could be found anywhere. No option but to bite the bullet. I went for a walk and advised my wife to lock the door after me and any hassle to ring me immediately. Then on top of all this we seemed to have a herd of elephants in the room above. The banging didn't stop until about midnight. Thankfully day and night two were uneventful and we could actually relax. The Hotel and it's surrounds are beautiful and the rooms, though not the lap of luxury, are comfortable and very clean. Massive disapointment the restaurant was closed during our stay. Will we return ? Maybe, But definately not in a Courtyard Room. I'm afraid our visit for my 65th Birthday didn't exactly go the way we wished it had.
