What a great location to stay for a night overlooking the estuary. Room was large, the room I stayed in (room 11 I recall) had an amazing view from the room and balcony. Friendly welcome and good breakfast.

Although the view of the river is spectacular, the whole place is tired and a bit run down. Curtains in our room needed to be washed, and many areas needed a paint touch up. There is no attention to detail. No place like a shelf or shower caddy to put soap/shampoo etc. The TV cables are untidy. It was Christmas day when we checked in after 14h00. Breakfast had not been packed away and although covered with a net, flies were trapped under the net on the food. We did not include breakfast in our stay thankfully as I did not get the impression of cleanliness on these premises.

Cleanliness is just not their strong point and the only thing working for them is their location and meals(I had breakfast). I cut my stay short due to poor hygiene/cleanliness (see attached pics). I shared my concerns with management and had to get alternative accommodation and was advised to leave banking details for refund. After not hearing from them for 7 days I made follow up but was given the run around. I escalated the matter to the booking platform I had used(hotel.com) and the matter was swiftly resolved and I got my refund. Were it not for *********, I would not have been refunded. Guests are rewarded for writing great reviews, read their reviews with a bit of salt. This is the inside of the kettle I was supposed to use, the unemptied bin and filthy sink tap in my room. The two stars are for location and breakfast.
