Although my Dayuse booking said from 2.00pm to 9.00pm, the Comfort Hotel East Melbourne REFUSED TO LET ME STAY IN THE ROOM for the full extent of my booking. After a very confusing argument at check-in, they told me I could stay until 8.00pm, so I agreed and paid. But then at 7.00pm HOUSEKEEPING ENTERED THE ROOM and when they saw I was still there, they brought the woman from reception to INSISTENTLY KNOCK MY DOOR and tell me that I could only be there until 7.00pm!!! SO THEY KICKED ME OUT WHILE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A MEETING BEFORE THE AGREED AND ALREADY REDUCED CHECKOUT TIME, AND KEEP MY MONEY FOR A SERVICE THAT I DID NOT RECEIVE TO THE FULLEST??? I FELT SOOO TRICKED!! THAT WAS NOT OK!! The rooms are clean and nice. The location is great as well. I am just ABSOLUTELY SHOCKED by the way they managed my reservation.
The place was cheap and did the job for only going there to sleep. Got what we paid for. It’s fine.
The room description said queen size bed but it was definitely a double.
There was mould in the bathroom and no soaps for us to use, only two packets of shampoo.
The aircon was not the best but did the job.
Lots of places throughout the hotel that need a touch up, it’s very old and has had barley any work done.
The entire place has an odd smell of dust and other stuff and I couldn’t stop sneezing the whole time.
Everything was cheap, TV was cheap, towels were cheap, pillow covers were cheap.
But, the staff were lovely and helpful.
The location is very good.
The hotel is beautiful on the outside.
The bed was very comfy.

We arrived later than reception is open and the manager rang to make sure we knew procedure to get our key and access to room. Thank you .. very kind. Our room was a liitle dated but clean and the bed wS comfortable. Plenty of room! Reception staff were excellent. Parking is $18/night which we thought was reasonable. Everything worked in the kitchen and I liked the bath! There are no extras in bathroom except for soap, so bring your own shampoo, etc. Windows don't all close, so bring earplugs if you don't want to be woken by early morning traffic. Really, it was not a luxurious stay but very good for the price and we would stay again for the service and comfortable bed!

The Quest Jolimont is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. The Quest Jolimont is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of East Melbourne. Traveling to the hotel is easy with Jolimont located approximately 500m away and Essendon Airport roughly 26km away. Famous local attractions Cooks' Cottage, Hosier Ln and Yarra River, can all be reached with a short walk. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site.
First of all, the location is very agreeable. George St is quiet, tree-lined, and a short, pleasant walk to the nearby Fitzroy Gardens, and not far from a 7-11 supermarket and most of Melbourne's attractions. This is why I chose Knightsbridge Apartments. As for my room, it wasn't quite as desirable as I had expected from Booking.com but it certainly wasn't bad either. My view was just a brick wall, and yes, some of the paint on the walls, the bathroom window, a few other minor things were a bit shabby, but that didn't really affect my 8-night stay there. The hotel was generally pretty quiet at night (apart from the birds outside), the aircon seemed a bit dry and not really changeable, but the wifi worked adequately for my needs, the telly worked fine (albeit not many channels), the bed, chairs, tables were all comfortable enough. The vending machine in the foyer was useful (and surprisingly quite cheap), and the staff were all polite enough. I had just arrived from the other side of the world, with very little sleep and was glad of only 1 short flight of stairs to my room. It's not a glitzy hotel by any means, it's not even spotlessly clean and decorated, but it's quiet, with adequate facilities and in a great location which meant more to me. I'd give it 3.75/5
The room is not big, but the facilities are relatively advanced. You can order food directly by scanning the code. The facilities are also quite new. The service attitude is quite good. We are a family of three and the room is a bit crowded, but everything else is OK. There is a park opposite the hotel and the CBD is within walking distance. The location is very convenient.
Excellent location just a short walk from North Richmond train station. Very friendly and helpful reception. Apartment was spacious and in good condition with all the normal amenities, and excellent heating on what was one of Melbourne’s coldest nights for the year, although the living room furniture is getting a little old. The only negative was that the guests directly upstairs partied late and then got up very early, a problem because there’s almost no soundproofing between floors.
The average price for hotels in East Melbourne is AED 667 on weekdays, and AED 799 on weekends (Friday-Saturday).
