This hotel is in a great location, right next to the sea. We had a fantastic sea view in room number three, and particularly enjoyed the very high ceilings, as it gives a beautiful feeling of spaciousness. The breakfast was very tasty and we enjoyed it very much. I see from my research on the internet that Yvette, one of the proprietors, is a talented photographer. It would have been lovely to see some of her beautiful photographs of the sea adorning the walls of the Hotel. We enjoyed our stay and our time in Eastbourne. Thank you so much, Jenny

Two lovely nights at Atlanta. Very friendly owners who were very attentive and helpful with information on where to eat and drink locally. Nice spacious room with sea view, clean and tidy. Lovely breakfast both mornings. Would stay again and highly recommend.

Lovely little family run hotel, both Mark & Yvette were very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely and clean and comfy. A good sized full English breakfast, and nice and close to the pier. We stayed in room 7 which had a good view of the town and hills in the distance, but if your unfit then it might be a bit of a climb up the steps Would definitely stay again

Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome and relaxed. Beautiful room with fabulous sea view. The most comfortable bed with soft sheets and bedding, which made for a great sleep. Lovely touches, such as the ice machine downstairs and glasses to use if you fancy a drink, either inside or sitting on the outside terrace whilst enjoying the sea sounds and view. We enjoyed sitting outside of an evening and nothing was a problem for our hosts. Breakfast was simply perfect. Special mention re Pickle the resident cockapoo, who is adorable and so well behaved. Thankyou for everything and all the very best. Will return.

Another wonderful stay at Atlanta. The rooms are all spotlessly clean, breakfast expertly and freshly cooked by Mark and Yvette is the perfect hostess ensuring all guests feel welcome. It truly is a pleasure to stay here. Mark and Yvette work so hard to ensure that all guests are looked after and are a wealth of knowledge about the local area. I know for sure that I will be returning.

Dear Atlanta, Thank you for a great 3 days at your really lovely place. This is a beautiful small hotel and I did have a lovely single room with breakfast. Thank you also for giving me a brand new experience… The worst of a departure I’ve ever had in 25 years of staying at hotels or guesthouses. Maybe I should’ve never dared to arrive late which must’ve made me unpopular for you? I couldn’t help that trespassers on tracks had several trains cancelled. I would really have appreciated you told me that you do not want me to stay at all at your place anymore though you were nice when I arrived. Or it must have actually been the check-out!?: Check out is at 10:30 and having the lady of the house knock on the door at 10:28 saying “You need to vacate the building!!“ is sth I’ve ever heard in this way or experienced. Maybe it’s due to the lack of my poor English language skills yet it did sound very unfriendly and harsh to me. It was made clear by her in another sentence when I said I am on my way getting dressed and the luggage out. Itwas not the first time over these past days I was baffled over this “tone of voice” yet didnt want to say anything as I am a very positive person and didnt want to offend. I work in tourism and entertainment - maybe I am used to more winning personalities and a more positive tone of voice. I was then rushing to get my luggage out and putting things in the bin in the last minutes. As I was so rushed I misplaced the room keys somewhere in the luggage so when I was already down in the foyer at 10:38 (as you stated exactly) I was looking for them and so still in the building downstairs in the foyer at until about 10:50 after having found the keys and handing them over to you. Yet before 10:38 the lady of the house obviously already found a left large rubberband in my room which was brought down and handed to me. Obviously the room was already being cleaned and so thoroughly inspected that this item was found which I oversaw! I left the building at 10:50. So when I was already waiting at the train station at 11:05 you already had written me a message that my room supposedly was left untidy and you want to charge 40£ for an extra cleaning fee due to your terms and conditions?! If you had already been in the room around 10:35 why not address me when I am still standing in front of you receiving a left item from the room but yet doing it in written form when I have actually left the building for a train to catch as usual for a tourist? Why not approach me directly when I am still in the foyer for 15 minutes? Right in front of you? You handed me over the rubberband when I was still in the foyer so obviously had a thorough inspection as I had left it in the room somewhere where I did not see it. Why not to tell me? Why wait until I have left for a train? Why this business practice? You did actually very much talk(!)to me at 10:28 that I need to vacate the building and the lady of the house made it harshly clear in her wo

The whole experience was wonderful right through from arrival to departure. The room was very good standard, the breakfast was very good and it was apparent that nothing was too much trouble. We had room 9 which is 3rd floor with a great view out over the Channel, be aware though that there is no lift, still we are 65 plus and it did not interfere with our enjoyment.
