We stayed for 3 nights as a family with children under the age of 6 and had the best time. The hotel service is exceptional, every need was met. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by the valet who helped us park the car and take our bags. They reserved our space for us with a board for the whole stay. The children received a kids backpack with hat, yo-yo and colouring in. We went straight down to the health club to the indoor pool. When we came out the reception said our room was now ready and collected the keys for us. Our room was a junior suite, it spotless and sizeable with drinks provided on ice and slippers for everyone. In the evening the children could order complimentary milk and cookies which they loved. The outdoor pool was heated and lovely when the sun was out, this was end of may/June. There also was a waiter serving drinks outside. The breakfast was amazing, great selection and the kids loved have every meal served with a cloche and countdown reveal. The added extras on the service make this a wonderful hotel. The positives far outweigh the negatives, I guess it could do with some new carpets and some new upholstery but the charm of the old building supersedes this and although old it was very clean. The bed mattress was ok, quite soft. The sofa bed wasn’t very comfortable but ok for young children. We will be back again!! Thank you
This was my second stay, the first with my granddaughter aged 2 and 10 months. Everything was perfect, I couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was just so friendly and we had a wonderful time. We felt like part of the family and were very much ”at home” staying at the Beach Front. A big thank you from myself and Isabel for making us feel so welcome.

Excellent location for the beach, various restaurants, shops and the railway station - with the added bonus of having on-site parking. We were welcomed by the lovely Nickole who was full of smiles and very friendly. She explained the breakfast room, showed us the evening facilities (i.e. if you wanted use of a microwave), and where the lounge area was (with drink facilities if required). Our booking was for 2 single rooms and as requested were on the same floor. The rooms, each with their own bathroom, have everything you need and the beds were very comfy. Overall this B&B is nice and clean and in a good location. At the end of my stay I had the pleasure of meeting the owner Steve and through our chat I could see his passion for ensuring his guests would have a great stay (since they took this place on last year), and that he would be a good custodian of this lovely old Victorian building. I look forward to returning in the very near future.
Hello everybody, My regards to you all. To celebrate my wife's recent birthday we decided to treat ourselves to a short (very short in fact, just four nights away) holiday in Eastbourne which is a town that we both like and it's not so far away from where we live - In fact we went there by bus using our OAP free bus passes. We stayed at the Burlington Hotel in Eastbourne which is located on the seafront directly opposite the pier and which is about a ten minute walk away from the town centre and the shops Check in was efficent, and the lady receptionest on duty on the Sunday evening in September when we arrived was most pleasant and helpful in assisting us to find our bearings. Our room number 129 was situated on the first floor - Unfortunately the 'Booking' website wanted another £100 for a sea view room for the short duration of our stay which was rather a lot of money for such a short time, especially off-season so we had to make do with a cheaper rear view room which had only a rather uninspiring view of the exterior fire escape stairs - Had there been a fire we would most certainly had been the first people to escape. However the room was fine for the two of us, it was quiet and quite spacious having sufficient storage space also and a good wi-fi signal and a television set were available in our room too. In the main we were quite satisfied with our room although we did find that the lighting was on the dim side making it rather difficult for us to read which I suspect is due to energy conservation measures owing to the terrible energy prices now being charged. Regarding the en-suite bathroom, it was warm and there was constant hot water - my only grizzle was as I discovered whilst sitting in the bath tub was that the soap dispenser was located far too high up the wall for me to be able to reach any soap to wash myself unless I had extraordinarily long arms which unfortunately I and most other people don't possess. One of the two lifts in the hotel which has in excess of 100 rooms was out of order for the duration of our stay whilst the hotel was busy at the time with coach parties, but fortunately this caused us little bother. A self service breakfast was served daily from 7.30am until 9.30am and this was superb in every respect - there was plenty of choices - and we thoroughly enjoyed our meals (both breakfasts & evening dinner) in the lovely hotel dining room. We treated ourselves to dinner in the hotel one evening which is served until 8pm. I'm told that the dinner menu for which we paid £20 each is changed daily, and on the day we dined there it was all done in 'threes' - There was a choice of three starters, followed by three choices of a main course followed by (yes! you've guessed it) three choices of a sweet course all of which was delicious and speedily served. My price paid for our stay was reasonable for this day and age - Four nights bed with a jolly good breakfast in a nice room at the 'Burlington Hotel' l
Reception area great and staff nice. Breakfast expensive (not buffet) for what is available on menu. Lift so small we couldn’t get baby pram to our room without bumping it up and down stairs. As a family we had a beach trolley and was good to have storage for this downstairs as the lift and space in the room were too small. Our room was a twin and so small for the nightly charge, beds uncomfortable, stain on bedding, dirty at side of wardrobe, bath old, crack on sink, nowhere to put our cases. Basically the whole room and en-suite needs renewing. We stayed for 2 nights. This is really only a single room due to lack of space As a positive it is great the hotel is near to beach, pier and town and great position for the airshow
Easy to find and good location however after a hectic day the greeting from the receptionist was less than welcoming. He was on the phone to someone and continued with his conversation without acknowledgement or comment. Asked for my ID to which I replied I didn't know I need to provide one especially as paid directly with travel agent and is not necessary. He told me no I'd you not stay I will cancel booking. I said all I'm saying is it would be nice to know beforehand and should be in the confirmation email. It got heated. Finally got my keys. No lift and on top floor. No offer of assistance. Room adequate and comfortable for price paid. Receptionist came and apologised which was appreciated.
All. In all a comfortable stay but unlikely to return
Have stay at this hotel a few times now so we decided to stay again for the bank holiday weekend. Once again the hotel staff were excellent and could not do enough. 24 hour reception is useful. The rooms are basic, nothing fancy but they are clean and just what you need for a short vacation. Nice little snacks in the reception area, Rocky biscuits and sweets. Fridge down stairs with access to 24hr alcohol that pick and pay for at receptions. What is a nice addition is the snack bag in the morning. Parking pass from reception which lasts for 24 and then just update Overall I love this hotel, great location, great price and allows pets

GGuest UserOur first time at The View Hotel .. and we were not disappointed ! After arriving in the morning, Reception gave us a discounted parking ticket that allowed us to have parking directly outside the Hotel for just £2.00. After having a day out in Eastbourne Town, we returned to find that the sea view room that had been allocated to us ( Room 712 ) had excellent views of the sea and the Pier. We found the whole Hotel to be clean, tidy and modern - and the same applied to our room. We loved the location of the View Hotel, as we were within 10 min walking distance of the town and local bars and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent with a really good variety and we had a lovely view of the sea from our breakfast table. One of the best breakfasts that we have had in a Hotel in a long time. All staff were really helpful and accommodating and that was really appreciated. Full credit to Claire Prysor-Jones and the View Hotel Team for making out stay a really pleasurable experience and we will certainly be returning again and have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel to others.. Rob & Angela - We had fun at Planet Golf (on the Pier) - Glow In The Dark Crazy Golf - We had a nice meal and enjoyed the live music at The Belgian Cafe - Visited the Wish Tower Memorial - Next to the Wish Tower .. Bistro Pierre ( great menu / food at a good price / lovely views)
GGuest UserThe room is big, and the bathroom is also big. It is located by the sea, just a little way down the road in front of the door, and the sea is very beautiful. The hotel is said to have a history of 120 years, and the facilities are well maintained. The elevator is very distinctive, and I waited for 10 minutes to go downstairs when I checked out in the morning. It is recommended to go early if you are in a hurry.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very beautiful, very clean, the sea scenery is very good, the transportation is also very convenient, and near to the sea. Open your eyes and see the sunrise. The boss is also very warm, there is water and milk in the refrigerator, very satisfied!! I love here and want to stay next time. The lack of lift to move luggage is a little inconvenient, but the spacious rooms and warm decor offset all of this
I used to be a regular guest at this hotel, but I have not stayed for a few years. It was a pleasure to return and see some familiar faces. It was also very nice to be remembered from quite a few years ago, and to receive a warm welcome. My room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Breakfast was as plentiful and delicious as I remembered from last time. As I arrived quite late, I had to park about 10 minutes walk away, but the complimentary parking permit was very much appreciated. I hope to be back again soon!
LLorena Viera RodríguezThe hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. They clean every two days but always ask you if you need to change towels or re-switch the water or the shampoo. The decoration is very nice and simple, with modern pictures and new furniture. The breakfast is included with a nice dining room with sea views as well as with a very comfortable staff, which is still pending to make you comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable.
GGuest UserWe were checked in for a two night stay and were given 3 rooms in total due to our horrific stay. The first room we were given was absolutely filthy! We requested a new room which we were given and only got worse from there. At 2:30 am we were woken up in discomfort and itchy, only to get up and investigate the bed and find multiple bed bugs across the bed and pillows. It was horrific!!!! The bites I have received were disgusting and what was even more upsetting and disappointment was the reaction of the staff. We were moved to another room at 3am and were told to complain to the day staff in the morning which we did. They only offered us a complimentary breakfast and 10% off our stay which was only £10.30. £10.30 after all we endured during our stay is laughable!!!! If only we could upload videos of the bed bugs we took, the pictures do not do it justice at all. NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Especially if you value your peace, sanity and skin.
GGuest UserAcross the road is the sea, it is very convenient to watch the sunrise in the morning. The hotel staff are very good. The room was large and clean. There is a large bathtub and welcome cookies. There is an elevator.
Pre-visit review: I had to cancel at the last minute. The management were extremely accommodating, allowing me an open option to re-book in the future. Excellent customer service, and one happy customer who has not lost his money. I will certainly be going there in future.
AAnnaEverything is great, the attitude of the staff is excellent, the room was clean. I would like to see some broken parts fixed and the dust wiped off from above. The location of the hotel is super!
