Easter Island Beach Hotels

We went with another couple and spent four nights at Hare Uta recently. It's a beautiful property with very clean rooms just outside of town. Pros: Rooms are very clean, property is well-maintained and landscaped, pretty easy to coordinate daily activities via the hotel, airport pickup/dropoff are easy and hotel-coordinated, restaurant food is high quality and restaurant is open until 10:30pm daily, very friendly onsite staff. Cons: Had some inconsistent communication with hotel pre-arrival with forms/activities (so just plan well ahead), hotel forgot our lunch for one day of activities (but made up for it with a complimentary dinner), daytime restaurant staff not terribly attentive when by the pool area, is a good mile from the center of town, so if you're looking for something walkable to all the restaurants, this may not be it. And while it worked out for us (two couples), the combined rooms/shared area ALSO share with another single room, so guests/strangers of other room have access to the kitchen and living area. This was not described at booking nor arrival, so we were surprised to see people just walking in/out of our shared space. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to know. We didn't go to any other resorts, but there were a couple in and/or closer to town probably worth checking out. Overall, we did have a wonderful stay here and for the price, you have a really nice option.

The hotel has a good view, you can see the sea, the room is relatively large, the internal facilities are relatively simple, there are no slippers and electric kettle, the hotel is very salty, the ingredients are fresh, the island is not convenient to use a credit card, we were from Paris at the time, brought the euro, it is very inconvenient, Taxi and tour guide fees on the island are available in cash, generally do not accept euros, Chilean pesos or US dollars

This trip has been in the making for 3 years, I originally had a different place booked but COVID hit and we all know the rest. I was able to finally go back and found this gem, the owner Tiare is a doll and made our stay there the best, she was waiting for us at the airport and gave us a quick tour of the island, and even took us to get our tickets for the park entrance prior to checking us in to the hotel. They have a car rental agency at the hotel which made everything so seamless. We had booked a guide with her and last minute he canceled, guess who came to the rescue? Tiare of course…. And it worked out even better as the guide she got us I feel like it was meant to be. I can’t say enough about how great this place was, from the small details in the room to the restaurant recommendations. Everything was top notch.

I'm so glad I went to the island and this hotel was a good choice. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There was plenty of hot water for showering. The wifi at the hotel was actually reasonable - I believe they have Starlink connected. I was able to have video calls with only slight interruptions during a heavy downpour. A cold breakfast was included with different breads, juices, and cold cuts. The hotel is a 20-45 minute walk to most of the stores/museums in town. On the days I had scheduled tours, tour guides picked me up and dropped me off. On the other days, I walked into town and was prepared for intermittent rain showers. I would guess that most people would want to rent a car if traveling often between this hotel and the city proper. I saw a couple of local (not international) car rental places in the middle of the city. The traffic is moderate and subdued, so I wouldn't hesitate to rent a car if I were to visit again. There are dogs and roosters that make noise regularly, presumably all over the island. You can shut the windows and filter some of the noise out. There are steep stairs inside with irregular depths and heights you'll want be careful on. There's a nice loft area upstairs with couches and a TV.

The room is large, air-conditioned, the room does not provide a kettle and refrigerator, and is shared in the front desk lobby. There is wifi and the speed is OK. Hotel location is good, it is convenient to go anywhere, there are many restaurants nearby, and it is very pleasant to hang out on the beach. Breakfast is provided, food is OK, coffee is average. It is very convenient to book the Moai itinerary at the front desk when you check in.

Excellent service and attention from Mrs. Rosa, who welcomed us, welcomed us and guided us through all our queries, as it was our first time there. She answered our questions, guided us through the tours, and even managed everything to make it easy for us. Very kind, understanding and attentive, she made us feel comfortable and safe. Her human quality is greatly appreciated, since many times you find people who are parsimonious and dry when responding and she is the complete opposite. The place is nice, very clean and comfortable. They have a recycling area which stood out greatly. We were in cabin 3, equipped perfect for a couple. The fully equipped and comfortable kitchen. We recommend the place 100%. If we went again, we would not hesitate to go to Anakena cabins.
