Nice rooms but recommend one overlooking the inlet with a deck. Road side can get noisy. There is very little contact with the owners but very good printed instruction /signs throughout the inn. Our room was a moderate size with mini fridge in room. The view from the deck was amazing and so relaxing. Short walk over to the Eastern Passage dock and stores. We picked up a fresh cooked lobster at the Lobster Dive and enjoyed it on our deck. Breakfast was good as the owner would make pancakes or eggs fresh for you. A good stepping out place to get to Halifax without the business.

I just spent a few magical days at the inn. Greeted so warmly by the owners that are eager to not only ensure a great stay, but also to answer any question. As a single woman travelling alone, I felt very safe and truly appreciated that. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast was delicious.

2 night stay Pros: Nice, clean room with a great view. Close to just about everything. Cons: Very windy so the entire building shook, creaked and banged all night. (Out of owners control) Uncomfortable bed, felt like it was full of clay. Have to make coffee in the bathroom. Yuck. Thin walls + noisy neighbours.

People were very friendly, rooms were clean and well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. We did not have a harbour view room and I was fearful it would be noisy overlooking the roadway. I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. This place ticked all the boxes for us.

A refreshing and well organised small hotel. The team running the place were friendly, kind and helpful. Our room was very clean and there were lots of help information on things to do in the area. Breakfast was great , lots of fresh fruit and everything you might need to start the day. Fisherman’s Cove is a charming and a short walk from the hotel . Would most definitely stay again .

we went here for the parking after looking at the downtown hotels which had rooms at the same price for people from the province. The parking is only 4 spots which does not serve the building. we ended up parking in a public warf parking lot up the street. It is first come, first served. I think all the people in Eastern passage have a loud muffler and roam the streets all night. Breakfast was good and the owners were nice but it is not quiet and peaceful. very commercialized area and a business exit every 2 feet to try to get across. also,if you have mobility issues there are 3 sets of narrow stairs to take luggage up.

The room was as advertised, but the advertisement made it sound better than it was.  If you are looking for just bare basics for 1 night and need to be in Digby you might be ok here, but I still wouldn't recommend this Inn for many reasons.  The room and bedding were dated and had a scent that bothered us so much the entire time we were in the room.  I woke up in the middle of the night with a swollen and very sore throat, which I think was from the air or heat in the room – as it went away immediately after we checked out of our room.  The Inn didn't have room darkening curtains, and thus, it wasn't dark enough in the morning for us to sleep fully.  We also awoke to a lot of early morning fog horns – I guess to be expected in this location.  The Inn at Fisherman's Cove is on a cove, I certainly wouldn't consider this an Ocean Front hotel.  The add and pictures make it look like a cute, amazing place to stay – but it was not.  If you are thinking of saving money by staying in Dartmouth versus staying directly in Halifax, take it from me – the bit of extra money is worth it.  You would be better off staying in Halifax because that is where all the fun and good food is to be found.  Eastern Passage in Dartmouth is a small fishing place with a lot of boats and some restaurants – there is also a beach where people were fishing,  We took the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax – which is very doable, but you may regret it depending on your type of vacation.

Amazing place! Well located and really clean! The owners are really nice and dedicated! We highly recommend it if you you don’t want to stay downtown! We stayed there with friends and they enjoyed it as much as we did. It is located at the fisherman’s cove so you can go visit without using a car.
