This place is absolutely horrifying. We had a deluxe room. A deluxe room is apparently smaller than my childhood bedroom (I grew up poor). I couldn’t walk around it and I have never seen such a small hotel room. I couldn’t walk in it. I had to lay on the bed to access the closet. Moreover the sink leaked and flooded. There is no air flow. I had to open the window but it was very loud. It reeked. It was filthy absolutely filthy. I tried to use the top of the cupboard because there is no space and there were inches of dust. There were small bugs in the room. The carpet is filthy. The pictures do not match the horror you will encounter. We paid about 175 -200 American dollars a night and it’s not worth half that. It’s worse than a youth hostel. The manager is very weird and very unfriendly. He asked what room we were in. He couldn’t find our booking. As someone mentioned there are creepy cameras and they watch you ( which is weird since it’s a tiny guest house). This place is on other sites with fake pics and it looks nice. I’m not picky about hotels. I like cheap hotel chains but this makes motel 8 looks like the Ritz. It’s impossible to sleep. It’s impossible to breathe or feel comfortable. It’s dirty and smelly and the people who run it are rude. Please be warned. It is a horrifying dump and I’m not exaggerating. Edinburgh is beautiful and magical. Don’t let this place ruin your trip. I didn’t but I need to warn people - you are going to be horrified. They have Kleenex as lampshades. That says it all

*SCAMMERS ALERT* Absolutely awful. We called to move dates because of the storm and the man confirmed a new room for us in a couple of weeks time with a 20 pound difference in price which we agreed to and he confirmed our booking. However, when we called to confirm they then said they had no record of our booking and that they would no longer honour it. We tried to get help through *********** who requested that they return our money to us but they refused. They now will not answer any calls or emails. Not only have we lost the money of the hotel, but we also lost money rearranging our other travel plans which we would not have done if we hadn’t been able to move our dates. This place is a complete scam with awful customer service, do not stay here.
