We arrived here after a day-out in Salisbury. Having made a reservation some weeks prior for a Valentine’s supper with a stayover, we were anticipating a fine dinner-out without the hassle of getting back home. We were in need of a shower, a change of clothes and couple of pre-dinner glasses of wine, so that is what we did. Our room here in the pub building was not ensuite, but we had a private bathroom across the corridor. The first floor room (called ‘Tinhead’) was a twin, so sadly no double-bed for Valentine’s (but we knew all that when we made the reservation). The room had all the usual furnishings and a flat screen TV with remote. We were entitled to use a guest lounge that was also on the first floor. This was a large room with a kitchenette, providing thot-drink-making facilities and, cutlery and some crockery. There was comfortable lounge-style seating and an interesting exposed wooden-frame ceiling. We enjoyed using the room and were able to drink a favourite French wine that we brought with us. After a couple of glasses we made our way down to the bar and dining area and were shown to our table. After dinner we returned to our room, and being tired after the excursion of the day we were looking forward to a good night’s sleep. Happily the adjacent B3098 was very quiet: so in the morning we woke refreshed. The hotel was lovely and warm, and comfortable in every respect. We were well looked after and all staff were keen to help in any way they could. I was returning to our room after a trip to our car and I forgot the key-pad lock code. One of the kitchen staff emerged from the building and asked if he could help, after I explained the problem he went back into the pub, then around the stairs and corridors to open the door from the inside. That is how you provide service! The manager was excellent and was totally focused on making our stay and meal the best experience she could for us. The site includes an event venue, a spa, and a farm shop. We visited the latter and bough some supplies. There are also three separate private cottages that can accommodate event guests: we didn’t look at these, as it is unlikely that we will attend events held here.

We stayed one night in the Priory Room - it was luxurious and newly decorated with high quality fittings - large room with separate dressing room area and bathroom with large shower. We ate at the pub in the evening and had a good meal of cured mackerel, potted rabbit, homemade chicken kiev and braised beef rib. The food was quite expensive bearing in mind that vegetables and potatoes were not included. For example my beef shin was £23.. The food was good although my beef was a little dry. Breakfast was good - cereal, yoghurt, compote and a choice of full English or smoked trout or porridge. Some fresh fruit would have made it perfect. The bed was comfortable - the only problem with the rooms is that the outer door does not close to either the rooms or the kitchen and so has to be banged to shut it and this banging which reverberated throughout the rooms went on until 1.15am and started again at about 7am. Also there was some kind of extractor outside the window which went on and off every few minutes throughout the night so we didn't get a lot of sleep which was a shame as the room was so perfect in every other way. There is a small spa and a farm shop next door.

Our wedding day here in September was perfect, and just the way we had wanted it - relaxed with great food. Getting married in the Brewhouse was just a bit different from the norm, and all our guests commented on the environment. Canapes and fizz up at the spa barn afterwards was also great - canapes were well received and the ambience in there was relaxing. We then had our wedding breakfast back down at the Brewhouse where the food served was truly exceptional. We were maybe slightly squeezed in but not sure if that was due to the seating plan we had provided. Francesca and Steph were super hosts - again, all of our guests agreed that the next day. 12 of of us then stayed at Hillside Cottage for the weekend - what a fantastic experience that was. Literally everything has been thought of - decor was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was very well equipped and we 'need to go anywhere for 2 whole days. The added bonus of having access to the hot tub; sauna, and steam room just made the whole weekend for us. We made use of some treatments in the spa barn with the lovely Jen who is a very skilled masseuse and seemed to find all of our knots without being told! Truly relaxing experience, and I shall always remember sitting up at the hot tub at 7.30 the final morning, just looking at that view. Doesn't get any better than that in my eyes. We all came home super relaxed, determined to book the cottage again one day. Jackie who organised the wedding with me, and showed us around the cottage on our arrival day, was amazing. She worked so hard, and always seemed to be there when we popped over. She was available to answer any of my, at times probably, silly questions but she really helped to make our day special. She is very experienced, and assisted in giving suggestions of how we were having the ceremony etc. She really did take all the stress out of the organisation for me as I knew I was in good hands! Having spoken to our guests now it is all over, everyone commented on how relaxed yet intimate the ceremony had been, and how stunning the food was, so all in all a perfect day for us. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful country pub with accommodation and the most wonderful food. Staying in one of the pubs cottages in the village ‘the brew house’ which was very comfortable and well equipped with lots of nice little editions like local farm shop shortbread and apple juice as well as all the basics. The real star of the visit was dining at the Three Daggers, the food was all excellent and we’re now booked to go back in a couple of days time! The staff were all very friendly and the pub just had a great balance of local village feel and fine dining in a casual atmosphere.
