Cabin No. 2, 701 Eiðar, near Egilsstadir. 12 miles and 20 minutes by car north of Egilsstadir. It is one of five cabins, modern but not brand new; soundproofing is minimal and that was annoying as other guests were inconsiderate and kept slamming doors. As I write this there is a baby crying in a nearby cabin. The cabins have a beautiful outlook to the back so I cleaned the windows on the outside. The window in the front door is frosted so no view at all. The kitchen is minimalist, only the basics are provided. Whilst the floor covering is made of plastic, it’s actually a fairly realistic version of oak so looks good. The owner was helpful when I phoned with a query; the cleaner was also considerate and was very helpful when I spoke with her. There isn’t a TV in the room – you have to create your own entertainment.

A mio avviso è una delle Guesthouse migliori in Islanda. Posizione ottima per vedere l’aurora, paesaggio mozzafiato e pulizia impeccabile. La camera si presenta molto ampia, con angolo cottura dotato di tutto il necessario, letti comodi e bagno ampio e pulito.

Este alojamiento se encuentra unos kilómetros al norte de Egilsstadir y consiste en unas cabañas contiguas que poseen todo lo necesario para pasar uno noche en este lugar, el cual al estar alejado de la ciudad es muy tranquilo. En general, lo que mas nos gustó de este alojamiento fue su ubicación y que tenia todo lo necesario para cocinar y tener un buen descanso.
