Excellent food (5 star) and wellness/spa facilities. Very clean, family ran hotel. Special mention to Kristal, Hanna, Martina, Veronika and Christian who were very helpful and also patient with our poor Deutsche language skills 🤣 Ideal location with walks on your doorstep and also not far from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to explore further.

Situated on the edge of Erhwald the hotel and garden has lovely views of the mountains. Our room had a nice modern take on traditional Alpine furnishing. However, surprisingly, there was no fridge or coffee/tea tray. For this price there should have been. We did not use the pool but it looked attractive. Service varies, reception could not have been more helpful but it was difficult to get a drink on the terrace. Dinner in the large dinning room was not good. Breakfast was much better, plenty of choice and the omelette bar was excellent - but the ‘orange juice’ was terrible, again for this price it should be fresh orange juice.

I 'discovered' this hotel for an overnight stop when driving out to Greece in 1982, and promised myself that I'd return. 30+ years later we made our first winter trip, and then a second just before the pandemic. We've now returned from our first summer walking break there, and it's as good as ever: the only 'faults' we've raised with them are when children (and their inflatables...) should be allowed in the pool; and, to our taste, the need for white and rose wines by the glass to be better chilled. I won't dwell on the amenities, which you can gauge via their website. Some of the rooms, including ours, have been updated since our last visit. I will mention that the dinner menu, part of the half-board booking, now offers the choice of three different main courses: meat, fish or vegetarian, in addition to a choice of two appetisers and two soups, plus a dessert and cheese. The food overall remains excellent and innovative, eg 'Beeramisu' as a dessert! Th staff are unfailingly helpful, and all seem part of the 'Spielmann family/team'. I could on, but I'll jut close with 'highly recommended': one of my all-time favourite hotels.

I can’t say enough great things about the hotel, the owners, the staff and the area. Everything is perfect and we had a fantastic week exploring the Zugspitze region The hotel is incredible, full of history and charm but very comfortable and all modern appointments are very tasteful. The owners, Martin and Katrina are the nicest people. Martin even picked us up and dropped us back to the train station as it is about a mile from the hotel. Very thoughtful. Lovely staff, very polite and professional. Our room was amazing overlooking the valley to Lermoos. Food was very good, especially enjoyed breakfast The area itself is very beautiful. We hiked for miles with a guide (ask at the hotel for advice about this), took the cable car to the top of the Zugspitze - highly recommended, had e-bike hire as part of our activity pass for the week and cycled out to Bichlbach, which was very pretty We barely heard an English accent all week (a massive bonus) Very highly recommended. Thank you again family Spielmann for a memorable week Bill & Lisa

Nous avons séjourné 5 jours dans une très agréable chambre au calme et totalement conforme à nos attentes (confort, propreté, vue). Cet hôtel de charme tenu par une famille sympathique et un personnel accueillant est situé au pied de la Zugspitze. Il offre un confort chaleureux de bon standing avec des extérieurs agréables et soignés. Une nouvelle et belle piscine avec un espace SPA textile complète les installations de bien-être déjà existantes. Le petit déjeuner est très généreux et la restauration de bon niveau. La région est magnifique dans tous ses aspects (paysages, activités de randonnée ou culturelles). Petit bémol dans notre chambre le téléviseur était bien trop petit et très mal positionné (pourquoi ne pas le fixer sur un bras orientable mural).

Wir kommen eigentlich ausschließlich im Winter einmal pro Jahr ins Spielmann, da wir immer sehr zufrieden sind. Nach einem Aufenthalt in den Dolomiten entschieden wir uns mal auf einen kurzen Sommeraufenthalt… und waren ebenfalls begeistert! Die Zimmer sind toll und werden sogar immer besser! Wir durften eine der neuen Taja Suiten ausprobieren, genial! Mit eigener Sauna und einem Tagesbett mit toller Aussicht auf den Sonnenspitz-Berg! Wieder viel Holz, gepaart mit dunklen Elementen im Bad, was die ganze Suite eine tolle Mischung aus Luxus und Gemütlichkeit vermittelt. Auch der Felsenpool und die Liegewiese mit toller Aussicht auf die Berge sind ein Highlight im Sommer! Highlights im Sommer sind Ausflüge zum Eibsee, der Zugspitze und die Ehrwalder Alm, neben dem tollen SPA und Felsenpool gibt es auch im Sommer hier genug Unterhaltung und Entspannung. Auch das Abendessen mit dem 4-Gängemenü war wieder fantastisch… wir kommen wahrscheinlich nicht nur einmal pro Jahr zum Skifahren sondern bestimmt in zweites mal in den Sommermonaten. Wir freuen uns schon auf Januar!

Ook wy zyn reeds een aantal maal terug geweest sinds onze eerste ervaringen met Hotel Spielmann 35 jaar geleden. En wederom dit jaar van de party! Alles was weer piek fijn in orde: vriendelijk personeel(Grote dank aan Ilidia, Martina Milano, Martina Ehrwald, Christel The Netherlands en alle anderen..., gastronomisch eten(uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet, lekkere salades en "kaiserschmarrel" tijdens de middag als zo wel heerlijke diners(hoog staande en kwaliteitsvolle gerechten). Kan alleen maar verder beamen wat mijn voorganger schreef...heerlijk zwembad binnen/buiten voor de kids met prachtig uitzicht op de omgeving. Ruime, mooie, typische kamers met een schitterend uitzicht op het Wetterstein gebergte vanuit je bed. Ehrwald omgeving is uitermate geschikt voor het maken van wandelingen. Ruime parking zowel buiten op de parkeerplaats van het hotel als binnen in een loggeerplaats eigendom van het hotel. Wat vooral van belang is: - gelegen tegen de piste - pal nabij de ski-school - mogelijkheid met je ski's van aan het hotel onmiddellijk te vertrekken richting de pistes Hotel Spielmannn TOP voor een aangenaam verblijf met vrienden en/of familie!

Nous avons passé 7 jours très agréables. Bel hôtel, localisation parfaite pour nous. Nous avons énormément apprécié l’espace bien être (et les massages!), la très bonne organisation et le fait que l’hôtel soit familiale. Les petits déjeuners étaient excellents. Les dîners très bons même si on ne recherche pas le gastro. On reviendrai bien mais les prix ont fortement augmenté entre 2024 et 2025 donc on trouve que c’est devenu trop cher.
