This hotel is nice and very cosy, really like a traditional mountain chalet (don’t expect anything too luxurious). The location is just outside El Calafate town center very close to a beautiful lakeside/bay. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the room are spacious, with everything you need and nothing more. Very good breakfast too

Everything went well at the Hosteria Koi Aiken (a Tehuelche phrase meaning "Water encampment"). The staff were all friendly, the room was comfortable, and the in-house restaurant was great. Each of the soups of the day I had was first rate. Likewise, the rest of the menu! The included breakfasts were fine and the dining area is well maintained through the busy morning. Please note, this is a basic hotel. It is not the Marriott and doesn't advertise itself as such. But it's also one of the few budget-friendly hotels in the an increasingly popular tourist town. The hotel is a very short walk from the lakeside, where I took a few long walks over my ten days there. Koi Aiken is on the edge of town. If you stay here you should either enjoy long walks to reach the center of town or else rent a car or bike. Or take a taxi. I made the walk a few times, and it was enjoyable since I took lake boulevard. You see all kinds of water fowl along the way. On the third floor is a lounge with an outdoor deck. It's not used heavily and has a great view over the lake. The back part of the lounger has a massage room where you can reserve a treatment for a very reasonable price. I took one the day after a really tough hike up to El Chalten, The only reason I don't give it five stars is the walls between rooms are rather thin.

Está súper alejado a 3.5 km es decir a 50 min caminando al centro, nos toco la habitación 210 que está justo arriba de la cocina así que el aroma a aceite y comida era espantoso en la habitación desde las 7 hasta las 10:30, lo único rescatable que encuentro es que las chicas de la recepción son súper amables, resuelven cada duda y para el caso del olor a comida trajeron un ventilador que no fue la solución solo hizo que circulará mejor el aire pero no podíamos abrir las ventanas porque justo de ahí viene el aroma, así que NO por nada del mundo volvería ni recomiendo este hostal.

Excelente atención y limpieza. Se puedo pedir comida y consumir en el comedor lo que dado que esta un poco distanciado del centro es muy bueno. Un hermoso lugar común en el primer piso con vista al lago para leer o tomar algo. El restaurante cumple es útil para no volver a salir al regreso de las excursiones.

A lo que es Calafate, la hostería queda lejos. En nuestra situación lo que sucedió es que teníamos un hotel del mismo grupo reservado en pleno centro, y a los días nos dijeron que no tenían disponibilidad que nos cambiaban de hotel o nos devolvían el dinero, el tema es que era fin de semana largo y ya no había casi disponibilidad en ningún hotel, por lo que aceptamos el cargo. En ese cambio y por los problemas ocasionados, nos ofrecieron una habitación con vista al lago... cuando llegamos y corrimos la cortina, se veía una calle. Esa noche no nos dieron ninguna solución/respuesta, al otro día nos cambiaron a una con vista al lago, pero las vistas al lago son medias mentirosas (por lo menos la habitación que nosotros tuvimos). El personal bien, y el desayuno bastante completo también. A tener en cuenta, lejos del centro y las vistas no son como en las fotos.

Nos encantó la hostería, el desayuno muy variado, las camas y almohadas super cómodas! Si a la noche no se quiere cenar en el restaurante del hotel ni en el centro, uno se puede llevar comida y consumirla en el salón del desayuno. La ubicación está muy buena, está un poquito alejado del centro, por la Av. Libertador es un poco más lejos que desde la costanera, cuyo paseo es muy lindo, se ve el Lago Argentino, la diversidad de aves, hermoso. Volveríamos y lo recomendamos!

Me parece que me estafaron con el precio de la habitación single y no lo rectificaron. Quince días antes de viajar me cobraron 70 mil pesos la habitación. El día que entré la estaban cobrando 20 mil. Pedí que por lo menos tengan la atención de darme una habitación con vista al lago Argentino, y ni eso cumplieron. Aunque haya estado de oferta la habitación, la diferencia es abismal. Califica de estafa. No reserven aquí. Encima se escucha mucho el exterior desde la habitación. Realmente malísima experiencia.

Excelente hotel! Ideal para descansar del ruido de la ciudad! Las habitaciones lindas !el personal , amable y atento!La limpieza muy bien. Contrate con map la comida super abundante y rica! Y hasta las viandas super completa y muy buen precio! La terraza con vista al lago es ideal para tomar unos mates luego de las excursiones!
