Spacious Rooms and Fun Game Room, But Be Prepared for Basics
We stayed at Yosemite View Lodge for a couple of nights and found it to be a convenient base for exploring Yosemite. The room was spacious and generally clean, though the design and furnishings are a bit dated.
The highlight of our stay was definitely the game room — it was a great surprise with plenty of fun options for both kids and adults: ping-pong, pool, air hockey, Jenga, and more. A great way to wind down in the evening!
The property is large, with multiple pools and hot tubs scattered across the grounds, which is a nice touch. However, be prepared when it comes to water — there's no complimentary bottled water in the room, and the tap water isn't great for drinking (cloudy when refilling bottles). Best to bring your own or get water from the restaurant.
There are two dining options onsite: a sit-down restaurant and a pizza place. We found the pizza place much better. The restaurant food was average and service was delayed due to a kitchen issue during our visit.
Overall, Yosemite View Lodge is a solid, no-frills stay with spacious rooms and a fun recreational space — just come prepared with your own water and realistic expectations on dining.
