Palapas Ventana

We had a most wonderful experience at Casa Zorro. We loved La Ventana more every day we were there, learning where to find the adventures and foods we love and settling into the rhythms of lo cotidiano with sand and surf. The office staff at Palapas Ventana were lovely and helpful and Gerry could not have been a more wonderful guide for our snorkeling adventure out to Cerralvo. Magical!

First went to PV to spear in October 2023 and knew I had to bring the family back to see this place. Went back November 2024. Honestly, it's kind of perfect. It's an adventure. The people are great. PV staff is on top of their game. The place is beautiful. I was able to really fish, and yet the whole family had a great time. There it is. I've taken my fam to 'fancier' places, but my kids say this was one of their absolute favorite trips of all. Headed back this spring.

I've been here 8 times, and it's always been fun. Mahalo Captains Yoni and Chuy for putting us on some fish. And thank you Tim Hatler for going out of your way to make sure our trip was memorable. Food was exceptional and service top notch as always.

Great place, came there with my wife for spearfishing and freediving in mid May. She is brand new in freediving, but performed surprisingly well and hit new depth in blue water. Tim has built a great team of dedicated, hard working and polite people. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating Food was great and there are some great beer and wine options They will clean, freeze and cook your catch, this is important after 8+ hours being in the water, so you can take some rest. Special thanks to Manual Meno, spearfishing guide. This is the second time I dive with him and he always works hard. He goes with us in the water, spotting the fish and manages the flashers, chum and doing safety. I feel very safe diving with him. Great wild life as well, we saw dolphins, sea lions, whales, mobula rays, etc. I missed couple wahoos and red snapper, so will come next year with kids to get them! It is very safe and family friendly place. It was easy to communicate with other guests and everyone was friendly and down to Earth. People from the entire world come there. I felt the service was much better than you get in US now and people are more relaxed. Smooth transportation to and from the airport. Stayed for 10 nights in a Casitia with en-suite facilities. Very comfortable and clean. Food was excellent as were the staff who were friendly & welcoming. We were free diving with Mobula Rays for the whole time & the captain along with guide were very good & I got some very good footage of the Rays. A very successful trip & I highly recommend this accommodation. I’ll be back.

We were originally scheduled to try this resort out in June 2020 but COVID hit. We rescheduled it a couple of times and finally decided to do it and get away from the cold and rain of December in the PNW. This is a small resort but we had such a better time than we would've had at a 5 star hotel. The casitas were clean and comfortable. No TV but that's what made it great! We went snorkeling, scuba diving, spear fishing, surfing in Todos Santos, and fishing. The fish we caught were brought to the kitchen and made into fresh ceviche or fish tacos for dinner. The views were amazing and the beach is steps away from the casitas. We haven't been this relaxed in years. Not just the staff but everyone in the town were so friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for authenticity and adventure, this is the place to be. I felt safe the entire time. The resort town was safer than the city. In fact, I felt safer here than in downtown Seattle. We will definitely be back!
