Hotels with Breakfast in Ella

I think this Hotel has some of the nicest View u can see in Lanka.. Breakfast Buffet was not a big spread like other hotels but the food was tasty.. Breakfast and dinner are from 730 to 1030 am n pm.. Dinner wasn't a buffet but a 6 7 course dinner, which was amazing.. They offer free Yoga in the morning before breakfast.. You can see the sunrise about 6am.. beautiful Staff are friendly and really take care of you.. Recommended to stay at least 2 nights so you can go to the town area. A lot of shops nearby and very convenient to just go for a stroll. Awesome

I have to admit, we absolutely loved our stay here. The people were so accommodating and friendly. The location is on a steep hill, most cars won't make it up but walking down and up takes about 5 minutes or a tub tuk can get you there. The view is amazing and worth the walk. It's so close to the main road and close to main attractions (about 20min walk) the room was comfortable, warm, clean. The breakfast was some fruit, with eggs made according to your choice, some toast and they even let us try the coconut pancakes which were so yummy. Everything was amazing. We were so happy there and will definitely stay there again.

We spent a lovely three nights at Ella Mount View. The location was great, around a five minute walk into town along the railway. We booked two rooms, both were lovely, with beautiful views of the mountains from the generous balconies. I would recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast, which comes included with the room. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, including assisting with laundry and our ongoing travel. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We were as a family for two nights in this nice accommodation. The host is warm and nice and meets every wish. The rooms are super clean, the bathroom is a little rustic but you see that you have made a lot of effort. Very good breakfast, but you should pre-order it in the evening.

The room is large but not clean enough and without air con. The staff are helpful and friendly. For the location, it is next to the city centre so there are many restaurant nearby and there are many options that we can choose. However, the hotel is difficult to find and hair dryer, body wash and shampoo are not provided.

I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. The cozy cottages, delicious homecooked breakfast, and warm hospitality make it an excellent choice for a memorable getaway. Pernille, Copenhagen - Denmark

This hotel trades off the views which are undoubtedly quite lovely. My room was clean, and bed very comfortable. Overall, this is all very acceptable and the staff are excessively helpful and attentive which can't be faulted. The location is very good albeit up a steep hill from the main street thronging with restaurants. There are some challenges that would, otherwise, make this a luxury experience... selecting TV channels on the two remotes is clunky; there is no chair in the room other than a beanbag, so lounging on the bed is the only option; there's no luggage stand, so leaving open luggage on the floor is not ideal with occasional creepy crawlies around; the light switch is not within reach of the bed; the hot water for the shower never gets beyond tepid which is ok given the hot weather; shower gel and soap is limited to one small plastic bottle and a tiny hand soap which doesn't compare to modern luxury hotels offering refillable shower and hand gel; drinking water is limited to two small bottles during your stay unless you ask for more (they are very accommodating). So, while this independent hotel is lovely and welcoming, and a cut above most local options in Ella, it's not quite a polished luxury experience if that's what you're expecting. Overall I'd recommend Hotel Onrock as a great Ella option though.

It is located on a hill side where the entry road is a bit too steep for vans to get up and down. If you are travelling with the private van, you may need to get off and to walk up to the hotel. it's not a too long walk but it's a steep one. Also, you will need to walk up to the stairs to your room and your toilet inside the room is not on the same level as your room so be prepared to have quite a lot of stairs walk. The hotel's balcony has a beautiful little Adam's Peak view and it's the best part of staying there. There is air-con for people looking for a hotel in Ella with this.
