I recently stayed three nights at Ella Green cottages with my soon (13) and we had a lovely experience. The cozy cottages are nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by lush greenery, which gave it a serene and peaceful jungle atmosphere with birds and small monkeys playing around. The cottages themselves were cozy and comfortable, with the necessary amenities to make the stay comfortable. We enjoyed the delicious home-cooked breakfast each morning. Pancakes, toast, fresh fruits, omelets and various traditional Sri Lankan foods. The host was very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make os feel comfortable and ensure that our stay was enjoyable. Overall, I highly recommend Ella Green cottages to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat amidst nature. We were prepared for two adventurous nights at the Ella Green Coaches and were not disappointed when we were greeted by monkeys and squirrels. The staff were very helpful and very flexible when it came to special requests at breakfast. The service was very good for the price. The location was a bit out of the way, but nice and quiet and almost idyllic. If you're hoping for luxury, you're in the wrong place. All in all, a great experience in Ella.
