The most stunning hotel, right up in the mountains. The best view of the entire trip. Rooms are well spaced out, lovely pool area and lots of seating. The rooms had everything we needed. The food menu is slightly more limited but everything they produced was really tasty with nice ingredients and the breakfast was exceptional. All the staff were so obliging and couldn't have done more

What a treat. Lovely room with sunrise views, remote blinds, walk in shower. Perfect in every way from the welcome drink on check in, the serene gardens and the wonderful breakfast. The staff made me feel very welcome. I had a room overlooking the valley, a little walk from the main building, but the views are outstanding. Room already had air conditioning running and lights on when I was escorted to my oasis. Boutique hotel worthy of at least a few nights. Amazing views. Beautiful pool in the tropical setting. Lots of staff evident in the early morning, cleaning the grounds and pool.

Beautiful setting and lovely spacious rooms. Jagath and his team couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. We liked the fact that it was a bit out of town (20 mins Tuktuk) as it was very calm. Nice to have a pool to cool off at the end of the day. Highly recommend staying here.

Set 30 minutes outside Ella, the hotel is beautifully situated for views down the hills. While not luxurious, rooms are comfortable and functional. But it's the view you're there for. Staff were friendly and engaging throughout our stay, and once we asked for Sri Lankan food at breakfast we were treated to hoppers, string hoppers, milk rice, fabulous curries and sambols. Evening meals also excellent, all served at tables well positioned for the views.

Cannot recommend this hotel enough. The view from the room was amazing. The room was clean and spacious and WiFi was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful and they made our stay even more special. The food was very good and abundant. Peaceful place to get away from it all. Highly recommended.

We are on a two week tour of Sri Lanka and having a ball. Planters Bungalow really does stand out amongst the crowd in terms of quality in every sense. Tranquil and beautiful setting, delightful staff, comfortable room including a bath tub and delicious and varied menu. We would not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Planters.

Great location. Beautiful peaceful location, surrounded by the sound of nature. Large spacious rooms & big bathrooms. Good Wi-Fi throughout with tea/coffee making facilities. Excellent food. Beautiful swimming pool. However. Be warned; the monkeys will wake you up at 6am when they jump from the trees onto the metal roofs of your room. We also had what sounded like birds & chicks nesting above our room which scratched around & made cries every night. Don’t be put off by this; I would return & recommend this place to everyone.

Planters bungalow is an amazing place away from all the noise. It is so serene and peaceful. The villas/ rooms were exceptional! So spacious and comfortable. It is not too far from the Ella waterfall and the town. The perfect gateway. We were there to celebrated my mom’s birthday and Jagath and his team was amazing. They went out of their way, over and beyond to ensure the party was a success. The weather was not on our side but basically the entire staff got together and made it happen!!!! I have never experienced such hospitality, patience and dedication…. Thank you Jagath and Team. Keep up the amazing work you do….
