We stayed here as a family of four in their family room. The room itself was very clean and comfortable and bigger than some flats in the UK! It had a big bathroom with a great shower. The owners are lovely and take great pride in the property and caring for their guests. Our guide was unable to access the property in his vehicle so a member of staff came to meet us and insisted on carrying our cases,both on arrival and departure. He also escorted us to our cookery class so we wouldn't get lost. The property itself is a short walk into the town centre but is up a steep hill. The upside to this is the incredible view.

Second night here and what an amazing place and super good location. Walking distance to downtown Ella. This hotel shines in the fact that each room has its own balcony that overlooks spectacular waterfalls and mountain ranges. I believe every room faces the west for sunsets. The rooms are well appointed and you enter off your private patio through French doors . The bathroom is large with a humongous walk in shower. Our only concern is that the drive entranceway is a bit steep for any who may have difficulty in this regard.

Hotel Laura is a place that located at a beautiful place that consist of beautiful views of Mother Nature. They give us a 5 star experience for just for handful of money. I’m very satisfied about the quality of the rooms. The experience is worth for the money we paid.

Nice place to relax and spend your vacation. Rooms were clean and comfortable. This hotel have a unique architectural design. TV,mini fridge, and hot water was there. The view of the ella rock is amazing.Good staff and delicious foods. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 1 night and wish we stayed longer. View from our room was amazing, lovely spot to sit and relax. Family run business, owners were very friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend staying here. Welcome drink and breakfast were yummy.

2 night stay whilst visiting Ella to visit 9 arch bridge, Little Adams peak, Ravana Waterfall etc. Great family room. Huge, with a large King bed, and 2 singles. Large bathroom with Shower too. Downside - only one fan no aircon so it was warm... tricky at night when trying to sleep. Also bear in mind getting there as it is at the top of a super steep hill which many vehicles find it hard to reach. Easy to walk into Ella (8min walk downhill) but a definite hot & sweaty return walk! Gorgeous views over the neighbouring countryside and hills. Plus the ability to 'hear' the famous train as that comes by. Lovely breakfast, in a very scenic spot. A little slow which was odd given it only has a handful of rooms but charming, just don't leave breakfast to just before you need to be anywhere! Really pleasant out doors verandah space which was lovely to sit and enjoy. If you want a smaller guest house experience whilst in Ella which can be quite hectic, then don't look any further, this is really nice. My children would say the downside is there was no pool, but we seemed to get by and we did visit the waterfalls and swim there.

It's just 15 minutes walk from the center and located in a peaceful location. Probably got the best view of the ella rock and mini adams peak The building it self is solid and well designed. Got 5 well appointed rooms. Room 1 and 2 got the best view. Followed by room 3 and 4.room number 5 is a family room and 4 guests can stay but unfortunately it's in the basement and don't have a proper view like the other rooms.all rooms are spacious ,clean and well equipped with a TV,fan,kettle, hairdryer and so on .toilets were spacious and clean too. This is a family run guest house and their food is home made ,fresh and tasty. Compared to the city restaurants their prices are reasonable too. Garden was well maintained. Full of flowers and fruits Since our train back to colombo was at 0640am we checked out at 0600am and the family members woke up early to prepare our breakfast and lunch and to say goodbye. It was a big surprise and totally unexpected There were minor drawbacks like breakfast service been on the slow side and coffee served at breakfast been cold on both days. In the room there were issues regarding WiFi,TV channels, bedside table lamp socket,toilet bowl leak.also tea bags were not kept in one of the rooms and shampoo /body wash bottles were empty. Which were fixed upon request. Those were minor matters which can be forgiven and forgotten. OVERALL I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HOTEL LAURA FOR A PEACEFUL HOLIDAY

From all great hotels we have been to during our trip in Sri Lanka this hotel had by far the best view ever. View over the beautiful mountains . Nice restaurants nearby and the Hotel runs by the whiole family. Great people! Very idyllic room with extra patio overlooking the mountains. Thanks family for this great experience at your hotel!! This has been definitely my favourite stay in Sri Lanka! The hotel is amazing, the view is stunning and the personnel was outstanding. The location is on another level. I had a separate room from the main block of the hotel, seems like a small apartment with balcony. The furniture of the room is cozy and very clean. I’ll be back for sure in Ella and I’ll book here again. Thank you.
