You and the Sea

Our second time staying at You and the Sea. Great spot for a family holiday, very clean, spacious Apartment, our 3 teenaged boys love the gym, sauna& pool. So convenient to the town, lovely walk along the coast & close to beaches. If there was a pool table/ games rooms for older kids it would be even better. A great place to stay, would highly recommend.

My girlfriend booked a holiday for us in this Hotel. Our experience was extremely disappointing. After arriving to the reception we waited at the reception about 20 min. till the staff (so incompetent) found a room for us because they sold the room we booked and we were told we’re gonna get upgraded room . While waiting for our room cca 20 min. my girlfriend pick up a coffee a water from the restaurant. After 20 min. we finally went to the room through the garage (surprise) unbelievable. ☝️ Nobody even asked my girlfriend to help her with a tray and the two coffees and water she bought in the restaurant. We got to the room but that was not the room we booked. We were surprised and disappointed. After long way we were tired and hungry so we went to the restaurant in the hotel and talked what we do with the situation. We went to the reception and complained and wanted to talk to the manager. The manager was not there we were told that the manager is coming tomorrow (next day) around 9.00. So we slept (actually we couldn’t sleep after all this crap) and we found another problem in the room was a mould and the room smelt like a mould also in the bathroom. After sleepless night. We went to have a breakfast and what I saw I thought I was dreaming there was a hole in the swimming pool I could not believe my eyes ‍♂️ After breakfast we went to talk to the manager. She said that she would find a solution. After cca. 1 hour she wrote us that they got ready another room for us. We checked the room but they didn’t even offered us better price after all this crap so we decided not to stay and we found something else. (They just didn’t charged us our sleepless night Sooo nice!!!) I also cancelled my surf lessons because we found cheaper in the village. They just want to profit from everything and from the guests, too. Attention!!! IT IS A FAMILY HOTEL. If you want to have a rest FORGET IT. THEY DIDN’T TELL US!!! P.S. WE STILL DON’T UNDERSTAND WHY THIS PLACE IS SO EXPENSIVE. IT’S NOT WORTH THE PRICE!!!

We have just returned from 5 blissful days. We were fortunate to be upgraded to a fantastic apartment -it was spotless and huge. Comfy beds, quiet and wonderful house keeping. The hotel itself is located really well. We made good use of the indoor pool and occasionally braved the outdoor pool. Food was great. It takes some getting used to having contact via what’s app - but actually much quicker and easier. We enjoyed surf lessons, amazing beaches etc. The town is a short walk away and we had excellent food and service in all the restaurants. My only suggestions to improve would be - a large apartments has multiple terraces/balconies. 2 large - but only one is furnished meaning you don’t really get the benefit unless you want to stand. And for other visitors - we had not realised it gets cold at night so take layers!

What a great find! I came across these apartments through Vrbo and went directly to their website to book! From the communications before arrival, to arrival, during the stay and departure, this has been such a great experience! The team were genuinely lovely and sincere. Everyone stood out and Catarina was a little star upon check in and rooming! The apartment was excellent and well equipped! 2 large bedrooms with lots of amentities including bathrobes, slippers, plenty of towels and toiletries! Very clean and comfortable beds with amazing black out roller shutters! Kitchen was well equipment with electric hob, oven, microwave, coffee pod machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher and washing machine! It was very spacious with a generous fridge and freezer! Lounge / dining area again huge with a large table and the seating was comfortable. Outdoor had a bench table and 2 loungers! Pool towels available from reception and can be changed when needed! Facilities were excellent and the indoor pool was lovely! It was overlooking the restaurant and had doors onto the external garden! Plenty of loungers and warm! The gym was well equipped and the added bonus of an internal playroom was enjoyed by the children! There is a spa with sauna and steam room (did not use). Across from the complex was the outdoor area which had another children’s play park, outdoor swimming pools, surfs school, courts and a walk way towards the beach! Restaurant and bar was great with a nice menu and a nice happy hour menu! You will not be disappointed and guarantee you will enjoy your stay! Thank you once again for a wonderful stay!

Great service, amazing hotel! I’d highly recommend this hotel. They have a sauna, indoor and outdoor pool, gym, etc. It’s great for families but also for couples. They offer many activities and have a great green area in front of the building where you can surfskate, swim or just relax. The apartments (and the hotel in general) was better than expected. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was always very friendly. We’ll come back

Stayed in the 4-bedroom apartment over Christmas with my family, a sort of family reunion with people from the US, Spain, Portugal, and Holland. I've reserved and stayed in many Airbnbs and such all over the world. One thing you can never be sure about is how they will actually be in person. This one exceeded our expectations. So much space, no one felt crowded, and plenty of bathrooms and options for both socializing and privacy. Close to the beach, and well-equipped. We had two big dinners which we prepared and ate there. And the price was very fair as well. Also loved that they cleaned every day while we were there. Overall, an exceptional experience.
