We just stayed here for 4 nights as a group of friends and we were pleasantly surprised. We had read the reviews prior to going so were cautious of what we might find but the hotel was clean, tidy and well presented. The rooms were ample for 2 sharing and a nice little balcony, bed comfortable and bathroom clean. The shower pressure was a bit rubbish but still manageable. The communal areas were well presented and kept. Pool area was nice and plenty space. The 1 restaurant was ok, food was nice enough but repetitive, left overs from night time became the next days lunch. Could have done with a little more choice but the staff were great accommodating allergies and dietary requirements. The bar staff though weren’t the friendliest. They were quite rude at times. I didn’t like that you weren’t able to get bottled water for the room but the supermarket next door was fab. Entertainment….it wasn’t the best to be honest. The team were there trying their best but the sound system was rubbish and karaoke night was painful at times thanks to that. Aqua aerobics in the morning was the best thing! At 40years old we were the youngest there by a good few years and that potentially had an impact on the entertainment offered. It’s a quiet hotel for relaxing I’d say, not for parting! Over all pleasantly surprised but wouldn’t rush back.

I'll start with the negatives first, we arrived 10th May, we had been up most of the previous night due to early flight and getting to the airport, so by the time we got to the hotel, it was 12pm with other hotels, if our room was ready, we could check in, we were informed on this occasion that check in was at 2pm, and room was not ready, we were both very tired but accepted this and decided to go to the pool bar for a drink, we wasn't really hungry so decided to just get burger and chips at the pool bar, they were pork burgers which were OK but not something we had again, drinks are in small plastic cups which is understandable outside, at 1.55pm I decided to see if the room was ready, when asked I was informed check in at 2pm, when I said we are only minutes away they decided room was ready, there is a lift, but we found out it kept breaking down, we used the stairs as only on 1st floor, room is OK for what you need, but our shower leaked twice, first time I mopped it up, as I thought it was how I had positioned the shower head, the shower floor is not really practical, the 2nd time we had a cleaner knock on the door, as when my husband used the shower, the water went all the way out in to the main corridor, we reported it and we were informed it had been fixed, we did report out patio door not locking, but it still wouldn't lock by the time we left, food is buffet style, plenty of choice and hot, though most things did not tell you what they were, but you could always ask, be careful with drinks as all inclusive menu a bit deceiving, we wanted on the menu, coffee with alcohol, which when I explained to the waiter, as he was not sure, I then said Irish coffee, which they then tried to charge me for, as not on all inclusive, I did not pay, as I showed the coffee on the all inclusive menu, people who pay for drinks got a totally different service and their cocktails looked amazing, while the all inclusive cocktails looked like juice, entertainment hit and miss, first night was karaoke which really was not very good, we stayed in our room 3 nights out of 7 and bought drinks from supermarket at the side of the hotel, which defeats the object of paying for all inclusive now positives, at a point, sant tomas is very small, lovely beach, nice walks, but nothing really else there, there is other hotels and a couple of bars, we sat on our balcony 3 nights and listened to the singer who was at the bar next to our hotel, couple of shops, but nothing else, so our walks were the same every day buses are only 4 times a day to citadella and Mao and same coming back, we caught 9am bus to citadella, which took an hour, and unless we wanted to stay till 4.15pm, which we didn't, the only other bus back was 12.30pm, so we did not have time to look around, we have been before,

I booked this as a last minute autumn get a way because it was a cheap deal via Hayes Travel. The hotel was right next to a beautiful beach with a nice coastal path for walks. The hotel is modern with friendly staff and nice facilities. The pool area was nice with its own bar that also sold snacks/ice-cream. I booked b&b but upon arrival, was offered an all inclusive option to pay extra, which I did and it was great value. The food on offer was really good, there are chefs there to cook meat/fish dishes as you like them. I enjoyed every meal because of the choice offered. The area was very quiet in October with just 1 local bar & 1 shop open. I have no idea what it is like in the main summer season. There was a bus into the main town which was only a couple euros and great to spend a day there. The bus stop is almost outside the hotel. I really enjoyed this short break and would 100% recommend this lovely little hotel

Unfortunately the poor reviews are true and this is to be another one. Firstly please be aware that this hotel is now cashless and the safe is E38 + E10 deposit for a week. Our shower never worked properly for the first couple of days then the water stopped altogether on day 3. The power to many rooms went off a couple of times. Our toilet refused to work on day 4, the same day the chip and pin machines went down. But certainly the food was the worse we have had on 4 trips to Menorca. The grill hot plate failed as did the bain marie yet they still served warm food on them (that's why the microwave is there) and all the restaurant manager could do was argue with a guest about getting technicians. A chef came in with a thermometer and declared that at 51 degrees the food was hot! Also please be aware there is no allergy warnings posted on any dishes. After a freezing cold 'hot' breakfast again we advised our rep that from day 3 we would not be eating there for the rest of our stay. The staff approach is deny everything, apparently we were the only ones to mention the water going off. The bar area is like a morgue and the 'entertainment' doesn't start till 10pm unless you count a quick game of bingo. Of yes! That lift still doesn't work either, ridiculous. Our poor rep was overwhelmed with unhappy customers, one who had moved rooms 3 times because of water/shower issues. We love Menorca and this hotel is not representative of others we have thoroughly enjoyed. On the plus side, I now know to avoid the Globales brand especially if this is indicative of their standards and staff training.

Definitely not 4 star hotel. But it's situated close to the beach . Which is lovely and quiet. Apart from a humming sound in the night we slept okay. Next time well quite possibly there won't be a next time, due to the food choices, unless the food is improved If you are vegetarian it's pasta or pasta, sweet potato, chips or plain chick peas and vegetables. Possibly frozen. Luckily I eat fish but after 4 nights of mackerel with no bones, or white fish with bones I purchased an avocado and ate that this evening! There has been no main dishes, ⁸ tumbet, traditional veggie dish in Majorca no veggie lasagne or no paellas. No themed foods or pizza......maybe they're served at lunch times.. ! Rooms are okay small but very clean, you need to be small to use the toilet due to its position.lol.

Just back from a 4 night stay and after seeing some reviews, we were unsure what to expect. We certainly weren't disappointed, it's spotlessly clean and the food is lovely, snack bar the food is made to order from a small menu if AI, but the portions are big and the onion rings are the nicest I've had! Rooms are a decent size considering you're only sleeping there and are comfortable and clean. The pool is freezing but refreshing if you've been laid in the sun! I was expecting a nightmare getting sunbeds but each morning there was plenty pool side - maybe as it was so close to end of season. What I dont understand is people getting beds directly in the sun at the pool and then spending the whole time under an umbrella which covers the people around them, there are plenty of beds in the shade! Direct access to a lovely beach and a couple of bars and little shops in walking distance. We went to Bertos along the road which was brilliant. If you're looking for a lively resort with lots to do this isn't it but for a relaxing break it's perfect!

We hope that this honest review will help potential holiday makers. Firstly, the lovely quiet resort of Santo Tomas is really beautiful with great walkways for miles along and above beaches and coves. Unfortunately to get to this walkway you have go out the rear doors of the hotel and walk through Globales Lord Nelson’s smoking area by the pool; then again suffer the smoke to get back in to the rear of the hotel, which triggered my asthma. So unhealthy and inconsiderate of non-smokers! The hotel was a BIG disappointment. It is definitely not 4 star! As others have said, rooms and balconies are small. Also the wardrobe is totally inadequate for 2 people for 1 week, let alone 2 weeks. We ended up having to hang clothes from the picture frames. We always choose adult only hotels and request a quiet room on a high floor. After unpacking (and struggling to find space for our belongings in room 512), we became aware of lots of noise from children ??? and their parents. On looking down from our balcony we discovered, right next door to the hotel, a row of bouncy castles/trampolines/children's play areas/bar & restaurant - plus a stage with many chairs for performances. The screams of very many excited children, the loud music, etc at this place ('Las Dumas') was awful for us. Next morning we waited 40 mins to speak to the rep who said she’d had a lot of complaints about Las Dumas. She helped with a room change - to 523 - a quieter room. So we had to repack, move everything, and unpack. The room was just as small and the bathroom and balcony smaller than in room 512. Much worse though was the shower - tiny and claustrophobic. Fortunately, we are slim but each of us could still only just fit in to it and had to shower with the door open, so water sprayed out into the bathroom. The pool area is disappointing with sunbeds crammed next to each other all the way round. We saw people putting towels on them even before sunrise! ?? Despite being near the beach, there is no view from the pool; just trees and other buildings around. We weren’t drawn to try and sunbathe there at all; instead we enquired at other hotels about day passes to use their pool. Prices varied from a ridiculous 200 Euros at the newest hotel, 30 Euros at Seth 55 which included use of all their facilities; and at another with a wonderful view of the ocean the friendly staff said “No charge, just buy a drink”. The food at Lord Nelson was OK the first week but only average the second, with certain foods running out to be replaced with something different. Once we asked where an ox cheek dish had disappeared to and were told bluntly “Kitchen ran out”. No apologies. The restaurant staff hardly ever smiled and seemed unhappy. No wonder with the older woman supervisor as a boss. We had to complain about her shouting at us that we could not sit at the only remaining table one breakfast time “NO! THAT IS FOR 4 PEOPLE!” We explained that there weren’t any free tables but “NO! THAT IS FOR
