The scenery is beautiful, the temperature is comfortable, and the breakfast is quite rich. After eating, you can relax on the terrace, blow in the wind, and listen to the cry of seagulls. The whole person can relax a lot. The room is large and charming. Although there is no air conditioning, there is no air conditioning here. The temperature is not too hot and the breeze is cool. I will definitely come back next time

Absolutely charming staff. Offered a great breakfast on a lovely terrace. We had a beautiful bedroom. Perfectly located within the Souks. They don’t serve alcohol but were happy for us to bring our own to the terrace. We would definitely return.

Villa Garance is a lovely riad / hotel in the medina. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. The room cooled off nicely when the windows were open, though we needed to close them in the morning due to noise (birds, etc. - not the hotel). It was convenient to everything in the medina - easy to walk anywhere.

Charming riad with a beautifully curated decoration. The welcome was warm and felt like coming into a family home. Breakfast service was great and very good choices. The location is great, within minutes from the port and beach and inside the medina. The room was spotless and all amenities needed were thought off. Beautiful rooms, great location, and really friendly staff. The bed was very comfortable. There were lots of outlets in the room (important to charge camera batteries, devices, etc). Breakfast was wonderful, too: fresh fruit, yogurt, and eggs made to order with coffee, juice or tea.

I wanted to be in Essaouira to celebrate my 40th birthday, as it’s one of my favourite places, and we couldn’t have picked a better Riad to do it in. I really can’t recommend this Riad enough. The owners are some of the loveliest people I have ever met and when I received some devastating news they were so wonderful and kind and I will be forever thankful to them. The view from the terrace is breathtaking and the breakfast was excellent - I really wish we’d had dinner here as the menu looked delicious, and if the breakfast was anything to go by then I know it will be good! The rooms were stunning. Everything was tastefully decorated and you could tell that a lot of thought had gone in to each individual room. Location wise, well it couldn’t have been any better! You are smack bang in what I call Little Souk Street (it’s not actually called that!) and only an alley away from what I call Big Souk Street (it’s obviously not called that either!) it’s only about a 10 minute walk to the port and you are really close to some amazing restaurants. I will be coming back to Essaouira and I won’t hesitate to book in to Villa Garance - it felt like a home away from home. Thank you so much for everything. Sending Love to you and your family x

Were we punished? 😂 We're going to laugh about it instead of being aggressive... It all starts with the arrival. And this lady at reception, who we just seem to disturb!! Who drags her feet, Who throws her sheets of forms at us, no word, no explanation. A key on the fly and if we want our suitcases, either we carry them or we'll have to wait. We enter our room, after three very hard floors, and we discover a small storage room where to go to the toilet, you have a door that is 40 cm short and which does not open from the inside! So we call the spouse to get out! 🤣 Limescale galore, in the toilets, mold on the tiles, in short, high-end tourist trap. A little white vinegar?? Just that.. The jackhammer will last three days (video proof). The tourists from the Riad who come to the terrace think that our room is an annex 😅. So many impromptu visits... We asked kindly at 2 a.m. if these gentlemen could go somewhere other than a meter from our room to have their discussions. No kindness, no information! In short, a good Riad to be fooled, contrary to what is said. But surely it's us 😉 We have just rated 5 out of 5 a more humble Riad in Marrakech... a nice family passing through. The two points given are just for the young man who works there with empathy. Just him. Oh yes, thank you also for the 20-minute wait in front of the door. Coming out of cancer, with post-pain, it was very pleasant to knock and re-knock and see a customer from the first floor finally open the door for us! Yes, a customer! Thanks to her 😊 Come on, we won't be back, but whatever, we'll keep our good humor because life is precious and let you continue to accost those you decide to accost in the end... Surely a segregation of good and bad tourists 🤔 😘😘
