5 stars are not enough for this beautiful Riad, everything was perfect! I tried to find the tiniest imperfection but couldn’t Even before coming here the communication was easy & Hicham was very smart to understand what I wanted from the e-mails I sent. What we loved : - the check in was smooth and we were offered some tea -the turtle was so cute -my husband was happy with the big birthday cake and decoration of the room -the room was beautiful & cozy, I was hesitant to book cause of outside noise, but no we could hear nothing from outside it even rained on the last day and we didn’t know! - the bathtub is the star of the show, oriental decoration & candles I felt like I was in 1001 night fairytale. - there is a Jacuzzi at the terrasse, which is also perfect for sunbathing -the breakfast was nice. There was juice, fruits, msemen, eggs… -housekeeping service is done everyday with so much care -anything we needed we just asked them and they brought it to us with a big smile -all workers where very professional, helpful, with a perfect English, didn’t even ask for any name cause I felt they’ve been all on a 5 star level and very helpful Even the booking was so easy as on their website I could find a description for all their 7 rooms with pictures. We will surely come back here, it will be our go to when coming to Essaouira, we actually need to comeback as we still need to visite essaouira because we stayed mostly in our cute room and even added one more night.

In a good local hotel, wake up in the morning by the seagull, breakfast to the restaurant on the top floor, facing the sea, the waves rolling, the seagulls coiled, the sun is shining, it is difficult to describe the beauty.
After reading some of the reviews before staying at this hotel I have to say I'm not surprised. I totally agree with the comments that this is not a true 5 star hotel at all. The positives are the location, the pool area and the rooms (to an extent). From one way its only a short walk to the medina and from the other it's a short walk to the beach bars. The pool area is well maintained and very attracting. The rooms are a good size with comfy bed and powerful shower and they are very clean. However, we started off by having to change rooms as the room we were first given had a chipped bath - all the paint had come up off the bottom of the bath so it was unusable, the staff solved this pretty quickly by offering us a room of the same standard one floor above. Nevertheless, I find it shocking that a 5 star hotel would not maintain their rooms in the first place. We found the cleaning staff and concierges very friendly. Some of the breakfast staff and beach staff, less so. One day we sat on the beach beds and felt looked down on and were not treated as well as some of the other guests. This really put us off and prevented us using this area again. Not sure if this is because we are a younger/mixed couple? Overall, the hotel is lacking in a lot of areas and the Accor group need to look into this. I would definitely visit Essaouira again but would probably rent an apartment since the beach and medina have so many options anyway!
What a beautiful Riad, everyone has been super friendly, helpful , knowledgeable and smiling. The hotel is lovely and clean, nothing is too much trouble. The reception staff go above and beyond to help and the lady that serves breakfast is always lovely with a good selection of food every day. Always welcomed with a smile. The Riad is very centrally located in the median and a 5 minute walk to either the port or beautiful sandy beach. Definitely recommend
Stayed at Essaouira Lodge in August 2022 having booked it 2 years prior but postponed due to COVID. At the time of original booking we were impressed by the other reviews all saying how flexible the resort was, especially the shuttle service to and from Essaouira. Unfortunately this was not the experience we had - shuttle spots were limited and timetable was inflexible and we very much felt like times were engineered to keep you at the lodge for meal times, alternative being that you would be stuck in Essaouira for minimum of 4 hours. And that was if the shuttle ran on time which it did not. Local taxis are ”not allowed” to go to the resort so the only alternative are expensive tourist taxis. Food and drinks at Essaouira Lodge was nice but quite expensive, a family of 4 evening meal costing approx 80Euro not including alcohol. The staff were all really nice, but the service was less than ideal - Never enough loungers around the pool for the guests staying at the lodge, and the lodge would also take external guests making the situation worse. Pool towels were also rarely available. At breakfast every day there would not be enough coffee cups, you ALWAYS had to ask for something and as helpful as the staff were to provide what you needed, the next day would be the same situation again. We also had to change accommodation due to stray dogs in the resort waking us up at 6am.... the reception staff were less than helpful and actually became quite rude when we tried to arrange a change of room. Even after we changed rooms there were issues with ant infestations and the amenities not working - we tried to use the oven on 3 evenings to avoid the high restaurant prices but each time had to call for maintenance to come and fix the oven before we could use it. All in all we had a nice holiday, relaxing by the pool when we could secure loungers. But the Essaouira Lodge is not without its issues and despite the friendly staff, no improvements were made one day to the next. I would not recommend Essaouira Lodge and we will not return.
Large groups of students aren't the easiest customers, but La Perle de Mogador provided a top-notch experience for everyone. During our stay, it was very rainy and they still were incredibly welcoming as we trudged water and dirt through their lobby. The hotel was incredibly clean and hospitable, 10/10 experience, would stay here again.

XXIAOCHUANThe hotel is five minutes from the bus down and the central block. Because it is not the peak season, it is very quiet, the room is very clean and clean, and there is a balcony to sunbathe. Breakfast We also enjoy the sunny and beautiful coffee fresh orange juice on the roof. A seagull has been staring at the butter on our table, hahaha. The boss is a passionate Frenchman, very enthusiastic, and has been patiently pointing out the snacks on our street and the restaurants that can watch the sunset with good wines. We followed the guidance and all got very authentic food. The people of Essaouira were more enthusiastic than the Marrakech people. In short, very happy. Also enjoy it. Here are a few of the approximate environments in which hotels and rooms are shot.
It was our plan to only stay one night in Riad Amana, but we really loved the Riad and Essaouira so we decided to stay two nights longer. We felt welcome and at home immediately. The riad and rooms look very well decorated, but most of all the rooms are very clean. This is something other riads sometimes lack. The owner did a great job designing and decorating the rooms. The woman taking care of the riad (cleaning the rooms, doing the shopping, etc) does her best in making the guests enjoy their stay. Although she doesn’t speak English very well, she tries. During our 3 week holiday in Morocco this riad was by far the best accomodation we stayed in. Very recommended! Very good quality for money.
GGuest UserVery pleasant riad, with a refined, bright decor, in the blues, as I like! We were on the 3rd floor, with direct exit to the terrace, rather small room, but very pleasant, cozy bedding, impeccable bathroom with easy-to-regulate shower (it's not always easy) Hearty breakfast with real juices squeezed orange or tangerine. Frédérique, the director and the staff are very welcoming, attentive and give very good advice Access is easy, very close to the Bab Chbanat, the beach, with a beautiful promenade is very close
AantoineLovely riad inside the Medina but also very close to the bus station. Decoration could be a bit updated but we definitely have the charm of a riad. I would have prefer to be able to go in and out without knocking at main the door entrance each team but I guess it’s for safety reasons. Breakfast is not crazy but not bad and in winter the turn on the fireplace wich make a very nice vibe.
Staff is discret but friendly
李李It’s okay soon, the hotel in Morocco is basically the same, and there is a small episode in the middle. We waited for the kung fu waiter in the downstairs to think that we checked out and left the things in the room, but it’s all right. Looking back, everything else is ok
CconanztI had the pleasure of staying two nights in this lovely authentic riad. From the moment you step in, you know this is a special place! The decor is fabulous and shows great attention to detail. My room and the common areas are spotlessly clean. My room was on the top floor. Outside was a large patio/balcony common area with seating. Great for stargazing! There is an atrium in the middle, you can see down to the first floor. My bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the shower was gorgeous! All of the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. In addition, this riad is far easier to find than most! It is centrally located in the old city area and is a five minute walk to the beach. Highly recommend!
