Absolutely loved our stay here. Stayed for a week and what a fantastic time we had. Location was perfect for a quiet relaxing break. The hotel is a few minutes walk from a fantastic beach. Great for hanging out on during the day, or hanging around watching the sunset in the early evening. At the weekend it can get quite busy with locals and their families making the most of it, but that adds to the atmosphere. Cars with local music playing, the aroma of the food cooking, all adds to the ambience. The hotel has really friendly staff that are more than happy to assist where required but give to the space you want when on holiday. Food in the restaurant has American influences, so not much in the way of Costa Rica cuisine Locally there’s a supermarket, then maybe a 10 minute walk you’ll find a few restaurants, outlet store, bar, bakery and a fried chicken take away - do not as isolated as other reviews state. The only downside to the hotel is the distance from the airport , it takes almost 2 hours for a transfer. If you’re willing to do the transfer time it’s well worth it. Thank you to all the team.

The service was amazing at the sunset Del Mar the workers made us feel very welcomed. The beach on the resort was very private and made me feel a peace with a breathtaking view, amazing sea shells, and the privacy at the beach. The beach was nothing like I have ever seen where when you looked out, you couldn’t see land for miles and it made me feel very secluded and it’s an experience i’ve never had. The wildlife that surrounded me and my family was amazing from sloths to iguanas to beautiful birds! Roberto the operations manager gave me and my family the best service I have ever gotten! He made me and my family's New Year's Eve special! Me and my family had the best New Year's Eve with the fire works Roberto set up, the work him and his staff put in, the amazing food, and the DJ. Thanks to Roberto who was always there for my family and I during our trip I can now say the sunset Del Mar was my favorite part of my Costa Rica travels.
