The guesthouse is impressive because it is in the house of a large farmer from 1900. It is located right on the main square of the town next to the church. The room layouts and stairs date from the time of construction. Unfortunately, the house is not very well maintained, which is immediately apparent from the outside when you look at the windows. The central location is combined with the location on a main road that is constantly busy, even at night. Even with the windows closed, the street noise disturbed our sleep. The bed in our room was too soft. We were given a wool blanket as a cover, which was a hygienic horror, but we were able to reduce it by asking for a second sheet, which we put the blanket in. The room had a bath. The toilet had not been cleaned, which the landlady did after we complained. The enamel on the bath had countless defects. Unfortunately, we arrived on a Monday, which is something you should avoid. No restaurant in the town is open on Mondays (except for the overpriced and not recommended Pousada restaurant). Breakfast is served in the former coach house, which is open to the courtyard. We would have liked it to be cleaner here too. The selection of hot drinks, bread, ham, cheese and fruit was sufficient.
