The Springfield Fairbourne

Lovely newly refurbished rooms including ensuite. The owners, John and Kevin, are very enthusiastic and helpful. The staff are also very keen to please. We were there over Christmas 🎄 so the Hotel wasn't very busy. We enjoyed a lovely lunch. Will definitely go again. Reasonably priced and in a really nice area.

Visited for food and drinks with family and has such a brilliant time.such friendly customer service made you fell very welcome food was delicious and great quality hundred percent recommended if your in the town.will be looking to book a stay at some point as such a lovely place to go back to 👌

We stayed for a few nights, the room was nice, bed & pillows very comfy, loved the shower. I’m sure I could see the sea in the distance from my room, but don’t quote me on this. The Boss greeted us upon arrival. I thought I’d upset him by talking him to death (deep,deep, shame) seeing as I didn’t see him again after that. But as Tom said in his review, things can get a bit quiet. It was quite busy at the weekend due to the hotel being full, & I’d say judging by the breakfast this is the best place to eat!!!

We arrived having booked earlier in the year. I had email confirmation of the booking and price. I was informed that this was a mistake on arrival and that a previous owner had no records of bookings. I was forced to pay an additional 10% to secure the room above the original bill as we had nowhere else to stay. The room was nice enough and the hotel was in good decorative condition, but there were few staff and service was poor. We were told that breakfast wasn’t included and that we couldn’t even add it on or buy our evening meal there due to issues in the kitchen. We were not able to have any meals at the hotel at all during our three night stay. The bar was open but only until 8pm each night. The room was spacious but there was no sign of any cleaners during our time there. Towels were not changed and the bins weren’t emptied, as you would expect as a minimum. In the morning I came down to read in the lounge but could the doors all locked up and no staff anywhere to be found. There was a number to ring in case of emergencies, but that was all. None even took our details on arrival or departure. The hotel looks smart and appears like a hotel but it was unwelcoming and overpriced for the poor quality of service.

One of the loveliest hotel I stayed. Friendly owners, full of smiles, very welcoming and friendliest people I have ever met. Booked last minute, was worried to start but I was so surprised and very happy with the voice. Very quite place, near the beach and lovely locals to blend with. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED will defonstay again if I'm here

I'm not sure if it's been refurbished or just isn't quite open yet, but anyway. Arrived and there was a not saying that it was closed Monday and Tuesday but the door was open and no one in sight, key cards left on the side and a note with a phone number, pretty sure anyone could have walked in and took them. Some tools are just dumped with furniture and left open. My room had dust and paint around it, but some was clean and made up. The fire exit was screwed shut 🫣 I'm sure once it's finished/ actually open I'm sure it will be very nice and is in a very nice location just a short walk from the beach, however I would suggest attending to these issues before having customers in.
