Residence Inn Fairfield Napa

It's not exactly a destination hotel, but it was nice, well-appointed and the staff was accommodating. We had a group of about 20 family members there for a memorial service and the hotel let us take over an area near the lobby and bring in our own pizza, salad, wine, etc. the night before. I thought the rates were very reasonable and it included a complimentary breakfast in the morning which was acceptable. I was only there for one night, but if I had needed to stay longer, my room had a lot of amenities that would have made it pleasant. (kitchen, seating area)_When I initially checked in, the room was quite close to an elevator and so I asked to be moved. The front desk did so graciously and courteously and gave me a very quiet room.

What a worst customer service, rude unprofessional staff.We went there with family and were disappointed with the customer service.Never recommend it to anyone. Absolutely disgusting, whole vacation was ruined .This is the kind of treatment one get to being a loyal customer for years.

Our plans changed and we needed to change our reservation from three to two nights. They were unwilling to accommodate so I agreed to pay for the night we couldn’t stay if the room was held for us. I checked TWICE to make certain this would be honored. Upon arrival, we were informed our room had been tagged a « no show » and reassigned. With no other options, we were upsold a suite at considerably higher cost. In all, we bought paid for three nights at regular price and two at a premium for two nights’ stay. The manager could not be located.

My husband and I both have lifetime Platinum Elite status with Marriott, and have stayed in many Marriott hotels over the years. During our most recent visit to the Residence Inn Fairfield Napa, we had a major water leak under our kitchen sink which was not fixed during the 3 days we were in that room. We received a full price bill and were unable to speak with anyone in authority aka, General Manager Ray Smith, either during or since our stay. Beautiful hotel, poor customer service. What a shame.
