Falls Creek Country Club

Location: The hotel boasts a prime location, providing easy ski-in and ski-out access, adjacent to the Gully Chair lift, and close to the village action, offering convenient access for skiing enthusiasts and leisure travelers alike.

Only place I've ever stayed at falls creek. It is consistently the cheapest apartment I can find on the mountain. If you want a decent place with a kitchen without spending a fortune and still has then convenience of staying on mountain then then this is your only option. Pros. -Close to gully chair lift. -You can ski in when there's enough snow (there's a ski locker at the back entrance which we didn't figure out until the second last day we were there. -Pool, spa and sauna (it's a little dated but does the job) -Decent kitchen with everything you need. -Clean -Warm -Still cheapest option I've been able to find with a kitchen. Cons. -It's getting a bit dated. -Beds and pillows are pretty average. (The "kings" are just 2 singles joined with a thin topper on top. -Most of the bathrooms are quite small. -I don't believe there is any house keeping during your stay. (Didnt bother us, and maybe they clean your room if your there for longer 🤷) -In house restaurant is closed I believe permanently. But you have you own kitchen so just cook for yourself. -The stairs down to the gully chair lift are quite long and get icey. Plus you need to look out for snow and ice slidding off the roof in the mornings. -Its pretty far from everything minus the gully chair. So all in all if your looking for a place that has a kitchen without having to take out a second mortgage then this is is place for you! If your looking for something glamourous then look elsewhere.

The accomodation while clean and adequately equiped is dated and has cheap appliances (our range hood light was faulty). The mattresses are also fairly basic quality, but comfortable enough. The pool/spa area is great but also dated and a larger spa would be good. Location is great adjacent the lift for easy ski out and back in. A cozy bar/fireplace area would be great - which apparently did exist but was closed down during COVID and never reopened. Overall this is good spot for the family to hang for a few days after long days in the snow. A renovation would be good but that would no doubt come with an additional price tag. The cost seems hefty during ski season for the standard but perhaps seems appropriately priced when compared to other, newer/better accommodation options in Falls.
