I traveled here as a woman solo and was a bit worried beforehand because it was my first solo trip but I felt extremely comfortable the entire time. The food was amazing and menus were available 3x a day and the staff was so kind and helpful. I felt so welcomed and safe. I choose this space carefully because I was worried about 2 things that I’d heard from friends who had visited different riads in fes: 1) overly pushy staff who try to upsell tours and 2) cockroaches/ bugs. Neither of these were present at this location. It was extremely cleanly and again I cannot stress enough how kind and respectful the staff was. Would stay here again!

Beautiful Moroccan style structure. When you enter the hall you are left speechless: it seems like you are entering an oasis of peace and tranquility, with carpets and cushions projected into another world. The rooms also reflect the same size. The only point that could be improved was the bathrooms, a little too small and with less attention to detail.

We spent 2 nights and dinners in this Ryad. Anouar has just reopened, it’s beautiful, calming, and the food is delicious. A massage on site after a day of walking in the souk, then a traditional couscous, what more could you ask for! Located in the very heart of the largest medina in the world, it is a place that we advise you to discover. Take advantage of it before it is full :-) And you will even be surprised to have Moroccan pastries offered in your room
