3-Star Hotels in Fes

The only positive note that I can make about this hotel is the location. If you arrive/depart by a train, then it is quite convenient. Other than that, I can’t recommend this hotel. It looked and felt very run down, without a proper maintenance. My room (the standard room) only had 3 wire hangers, the bathroom had broken hooks, reminders of the cheapest repairs everywhere, and the water drain in the shower was clogged, TV channels quality reception looked like in 1970s, there was no hot water one morning. Walls are thin, noise travels quite a lot. My room faced the common area next to the pool with tables and chairs. Some guests strangely decided to sit there and socialize at 2 am at night, and of course I could hear everything. Breakfast was more or less average, but many dishes were cold. It was not my first stay at Ibis property. But it was the worst. Stay away.

Mrs. Fatima and her staff made our first visit to Morocco an unforgettable experience! We really enjoyed the breakfasts and dinners with traditional food. We really enjoyed the Hamman bath. We did a tour that consisted of a day visit to the medina and one to the Sahara desert, where we stayed in a luxury glampimg and enjoyed a camel ride to see the sunset in the dunes. Unique experiences and amazing host!! I highly recommend Raouia Toursfor your next visit to Morocco.

Our stay here was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and cozy. We had a Yumi breakfast there every morning and they were accommodating to any of our needs. Like I needed a room with no windows because the early prayer kept waking me up in other hotels but here I slept perfectly. We also had some stuff delivered ythere late at night and they waited for it, and called us when it arrived. Thank you so much!

We stayed at the Dar for two nights, and they became our most memorable nights in Morocco. Before and after Fes, we only stayed in five-star hotels, but honestly, they can’t be compared to our experience here. One thing that I missed in those fancy hotels was the interaction with the locals. In this Dar, however, we, for the first time, experienced the hospitality, sincerity, and enthusiasm of Moroccans from the staff member Tawfik. He is the most beautiful person we met in Morocco. We love how he has a passion for life and that he finds everything interesting. During our stay, Tawfik took extremely good care of us, helping us with all sorts of big or small matters. On the rooftop, facing the breathtaking view of the Medina, we had a couple of intriguing conversations. Honestly, we have heard many negative things about Morocco and Moroccans but Tawfik and this Dar have shown us many, many positive aspects of the country. If you want genuine and fun experiences in Fes and Morocco, you should not stay in five-star hotels but in places like this. This Dar is simply amazing.

Wow, the initial impression which greets you when you walk through the door is nothing short of breathtaking. The more time you spend looking at the interior of the central courtyard the more impressed you are with the extraordinary detail of the workmanship. It's cavernous! Just thinking about the time it took to create the interior of this stunning riad defies imagination. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. So why four and not five stars? Well I struggled with writing this review, but I had to place it in the context of the other five riads/dars we stayed in and it is about overall experience and impressions. I felt the internal spaces were a bit 'reverential', more like a library where you have to speak in hushed tones than a social space. It felt awkward to sit there, even at breakfast listening to the rattle of our cutlery echoing around the building. My friends had a room which had windows to the front onto the street, and they suffered some street noise from groups of local youths who gathered outside. My room only had windows into the internal spaces and I was not troubled by noise. No full length mirror, but that was a theme repeated elsewhere. There is no doubt that this is an extraordinary place, absolutely beautiful, and we were treated with courtesy and respect during our two night stay, but I have to be honest and present my view of where it fell slightly short of our expectations. Entirely personal opinion, as reviews are by their very nature.

The Moroccan-style renovated family hotel is very distinctive and the pattern on the architectural structure is exquisitely carved. The central courtyard used for gatherings and dining, where the roof top above can be opened to reduce the heat or can be closed to keep warm. Rooms are arranged around the courtyard which reminds me of Hui-style architectures. I also see the shadow of Chinese architecture in some Moroccan architecture but the difference is that in addition to wood, they use stone and mosaic as building materials to form a colourful visual effect as well.

Outstanding value for money. The owner Namir has created a little tranquil oasis on the edge of the Medina. Communication from the start was excellent and he arranged an airport shuttle for us which takes all the stress away on arrival. We were welcomed with some mint tea and a brief overview of the local area. Our room, Dikra had a double glazed window to the street outside, which is quiet and a window into the inner courtyard. The room was a good size with a very comfortable bed and good quality white linen. WiFi worked okay in the room. The room also had a/c which was a blessing... the whole riad is very clean and well presented. Breakfast was very good, with eggs cooked to order and loads of tea and coffee. Namir arranged two private tours for us with a car and driver, which were very reasonable (Only slightly above joining a group tour, so great value). Our driver, Charif was a delightful character and really made our tours very enjoyable, stopping anywhere we requested and explaining everything along the route. I would highly recommend trying to get Charif as your driver if available, first class. All the family and Yousef, at Dar D'or could not do enough to make our stay a enjoyable one during our three nights stay. Highly recommended.....
