A brilliant local pub serving excellent food and with great accommodation. My wife and I stayed two nights. The days were warm but the nights were cold but the pub and the accommodation was nice and warm. The accommodation was a generous sized en suit with tea and coffee making facilities provided. The pub had a nice garden and there was plenty of parking We ate in the restaurant on both nights. It is an imaginative menu with plenty of fresh seafood. The breakfasts were good with fresh fruit as well as the oozed meals. The owner, his wife and staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The pub is near the Roman Fishborne palace and the coast.

Driven past this pub many times, but today we stopped for some lunch. Love the inside of the pub. Proper old school. I was delighted by the real ale's on the bar and finally found E.S.B on tap, you don't see that often. We had a look at the menu and both ordered the mussels and fries with a king prawn stater. They were good but a tad on the small side. Would have been nice to have some bread to mop up the mussel juice as the small fries were a small portion. Definitely will be back to sample more of the delicious food on offer.

Despite great food, we all left this pub chilled to the bone and keen to get back to the warm car. Two large fireplaces but no fires were lit. The radiators were stone cold and we will not be going back until next summer. Pleasant staff and the food was great but we ate with coats on and feeling so cold really spoiled the evening.

This is a great pub and fantastic food, we had steak and yes the chef got it wrong the first time with two of us but redeemed himself on the complaint and the steaks were fantastic. I’ve given it 4/5 purely on the fact the steaks weren’t done to the way we ordered them but the other two in our party were praising the food. I’d love to go back for a roast! Highly recommend this place so enjoy!

Fantastic night out with friends. Everything from the service to the food was superb. They specialise in fish and seafood and the fish pie was the best I'd had. Steak was also very good and cooked just as requested. Deep fried brie as a starter was delicious. In fact our group of 10 all enjoyed our food. Friendly attentive staff just top it off. Will definitely be back!

Excellent lunch here after a visit to nearby Fishbourne Roman Palace with four friends. We were lucky enough to be placed in a little 'room' on our own which meant we almost had private dining! The interior of the Inn is very atmospheric and cosy. All the dishes we had were delicious. I had Gumbo and the other photo is Fish Pie. The staff were excellent and looked after us ladies really well. We would all highly recommend a visit here.

We were staying in holiday accommodation across the road so it was a natural choice to go to eat and drink. We certainly weren't disappointed. Everything was great from the well kept beer to the tasty food and finally the brilliant friendly staff . We ended up visiting everyday. Why go anywhere else?
