Clydesdale Outpost

Everything about the Clydesdale Outpost is magical! They make you feel so welcome and the attention to detail in the cabins is amazing. The staff and owners are wonderful, and the horses are beautiful, gentle giants. We can not wait to go back!!

My husband and I stopped here for a tour while visiting the area. They do have several cabins that are available to stay. We were able to interact with many of the Clydesdales. Our tour guide was very informative. I would highly recommend visiting the Clydesdales if you’re in the area.

MAGICAL! Our daughter's wedding was at the Clydesdale Outpost last weekend, and we were lucky enough to stay in the Beartooth cabin. We were welcomed with a sweet note wishing us a "magical" stay. The cabin was modern yet rustic, and cozy. When we weren't busy with wedding activities, we took advantage of this beautiful space. We watched the Clydesdales eating in the field at sunrise and watched the sunset from the cedar hot tub. The view from our cabin was stunning. We knew ahead of time that there was a record player, so we brought some of our old records from home, and we listened to some classics they had on hand. We drank wine on the deck and made s'mores from marshmallows roasted over the cute firepit. My husband surprised me with a love note typed on the old school typewriter. The wedding was amazing as well. The bride and groom were brought down to the ceremony in a carriage pulled by Clydesdales. Before the reception dinner, appetizers were served in the immaculate barn and we were able to pet the gentle giants. They were even allowed to take sunset pictures with some of the horses in the field at sunset. Thank you Clydesdale Outpost! It truly was a magical experience and we will be back to stay. Years from now, when we think back on vacations we have taken, and talk about some of the coolest, most memorable fun we have had, Clydesdale Outpost is going to be one of the top things that comes to mind. There is just nothing that prepares you for waking up in the morning, looking out the window of your cottage, and seeing a group of Clydesdales standing at your deck railing, that you can reach out and pet. Or, sitting in a cedar hot tub at your cottage and looking out over a field of grazing Clydesdales near sunset. Or hanging out with Clydesdales in an immaculate barn, getting to brush them, pet them and take pictures of the adults and the babies. The accommodations are lux, the barn cats and dogs are a blast, but the people who run this place and interact with guests are what really makes this special. I seriously thought I was going to have to arrange an intervention to help me get my wife to leave this place. You can stay in a hotel room anywhere - we love staying in places that make memorable experiences, and this is exactly one of those places.
