I originally booked the Suger Beach Hotel a month in advance, but when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there were no rooms. I was speechless. Then I was arranged to stay in a dirty, messy and small thatched cottage. Finally, I contacted Ctrip to help me change to Sofitel. I have to say that Ctrip's after-sales service is still good, but the Suger Hotel is really speechless. I will not go there next time 🙃

The hotel is celebrating 32 years of operation, which, unfortunately, is also visible in the rooms. The entire complex is in need of renovation. The food was delicious, but the service in the dining area struggled with clearing tables, which is likely more of a management issue. Otherwise, the staff was friendly and very helpful. In a five-star hotel, even basic amenities were not replenished. The beach, however, is absolutely stunning! Thank you for the beautiful sunsets! Considering today's five-star hotel standards, this felt more like a four-star hotel.
