Here are some things I wish I knew prior to booking: *the location on google maps is not actually where you enter the building and there is no signage anywhere for this hotel. I had to ask a bartender at the pub nearby to show me where it was. There was still no signage at the front door. *you must contact the property 24 hours before you arrive to organise check in. You have a 3 hour window to check in in person (3-6pm). After this time you will do a self check in. We did not know about any of this, therefore did not contact the hotel and did not have any check-in organised. As a result we could not get into the hotel or check in. The hotel made no attempts to contact us. We were marked as “ no-shows” and we left without a room for the night. The accommodation for this night was not refunded by the hotel. *the reception desk is not actually located at the property. Phone numbers don’t work. They do not have an email address. *We spoke to other guests about their experience. All of them had done the self check-in and none of them were pleased. The first step of check-in was completely missed when they were given instruction. meaning that they had no access to the building unless somebody else let them in. Could lead to you waiting outside with your luggage for quite awhile. *while friendly, the staff seemed very unaware of how their processes difficult, vague, and stressful. They showed very little empathy or care in this situation. On a positive note, the rooms are big and the hotel is in a very central location with many attractions and restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I would skip this hotel completely. It is not worth the hassle and stress. For a Business that relies on tourism for revenue, the processes and staff are not very accommodating, or understanding of tourists.

Yes, it is in the city centre, but it is not worth the cost. Firstly, the room was not cleaned to acceptable standards when I accessed the property: the floor had not been vacuumed or mopped, and surfaces were dusty. In addition, the bedding appeared dirty with lots of fluff on it. Furthermore, the mattress was slumping in the middle with no support given during the sleep. In addition, the other residents on floor 2 have been noisy and loud when returning to their rooms at nighttime by slamming doors and talking loudly. Lastly, the room was unbearably noisy at nighttime. At the point of booking, there was no mention on the website that I should have expected any night noises. However, the confirmation email from the reception confirmed to expect some 'night noise' as we are in the centre of Florence. Whilst this can be understandable, it fails to communicate or describe the extent of loud music, screaming, shouting, and loud vehicles throughout the night. I live in the city centre of a city, and I have not experienced anything like this. In addition, this additional email and information were provided after the booking was place, preventing me from cancelling. Furthermore, one would expect rooms to provide some shielding from outside noise, which the windows in the rooms did not provide. As a result, I did not sleep for 2 of the 3 nights. On day 1 of my stay, I had attempted to contact the reception via the number provided 3 times with no success. They have rejected my request for a refund based on the booking policy. However, they have failed to mention a significant factor, e.g. the unbearable noise, which will affect people's choice of booking.
