Nice hotel within walking distance to the train station. Not too noisy even though it is on one of the main streets. Be warned, there is no elevator......There are 47 steps to climb, narrow stairs. Our room was a little bit on the small side, and we had a shared bathroom. Our window faced a smaller street which was nice. No street noise. There is a patio on the top floor, but we never went up there.......too many more steps.

Would not recommend at all. I booked this guesthouse in July for 2 nights in October and the DAY BEFORE we arrived in Florence, they cancelled our booking. We had to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. Its absolutely ridiculous that we were put in this position at the last minute, as we had just arrived in Italy. Avoid if at all possible.

It's a shame to rent this kind of accommodation. We had booked 3 nights at the beginning of June but left after the first night. What we were sold as a bathroom is nothing other than a fitted cupboard. I couldn't even stand in the shower even though I'm only 5'10". The "accordion" shower curtain did not close completely due to humidity. There were traces of mold and the toilet was no longer even on the floor. To top it off, there was a constant smell of sewage in the room. The noise both outside and inside was unbearable! When someone went to the toilet in the shared bathroom, the entire floor was woken up by the toilet flushing. I call it a slumlord. We lost the equivalent of two nights but at least we saved our stay in Florence! No, really, no other words than shame!!!!!

Perfect location, dated facility. Friendly staff but cold room and a bit improvised. Unique location but the room was a bit patchy and not very hot. Shower in the room not indicated. Low cost but the reviews made weren't exactly fitting.
