A quick tram/train ride to all the sights, this hotel is clean and comfortable enough. However, the check-in hours are limited. We let the staff know we'd likely be arriving right around closing (considering we were on public transportation) and were told the late check-in procedure, just in case. We arrive just 10 minutes after hours and got no response when we followed the call-in procedure, leaving us sitting on the doorstep for 10-15 minutes. The next morning, the staff was clearly annoyed by our late arrival, even though we were paying for the privilege of using this service. The woman concerned was also grumpy when we used the microwave in the kitchen with our own supplies because we were leaving earlier than the offered breakfast. All-in-all, we were made to feel totally unwelcome.

Our stay at B&B Leopoldo from May 20th to 22nd, 2024, was terrible. We received no check-in instructions and arrived at 12 AM, after our flight was delayed due to technical issues, only to find the place closed. We were unaware of the 7 PM check-in deadline due to poor communication. Neither the website nor Agoda mentioned this policy. We were unexpectedly charged €50 for late check-in, a fee that was never disclosed. This fee was simply for pressing a button to open the door automatically—there was no one present to check us in or open the door in person. The staff was extremely rude and unprofessional when we tried to address these issues. The owner and manager, Viola Lazzeri, has no sense of customer centricity. From the very beginning, she spoke rudely and showed no empathy towards us. Her primary concern seemed to be making money. When I brought up the extra charge for the late check-in, she refused to listen and even told me she couldn't stand my voice. Shockingly, she invited me to go downstairs (outside the building) so she wouldn't have to listen to me anymore. To top it off, she threatened to kick us out even though we had paid for our accommodation. Avoid this place—there are better options in Florence with transparent policies and respectful staff.

The room was not properly cleaned before our arrival, with dirt and dust on the floor and under the radiator. Additionally, the bathroom had visible mold, as seen in the attached photos. The lack of a refrigerator and the owner's unwillingness to allow us to use the kitchen refrigerator is also disappointing. While the location of the accommodation near the center and public transportation is a strong point, it seems that cleanliness and amenities were lacking. The breakfast offered was not very varied and the owner did not allow you to make your own coffee, requiring you to request a specific type. It is also concerning that you we did not observe any cleaning taking place during our stay, with only towels being changed.

I can say a lot, but I have to be fair that you get what you pay for. Although very bad wi-fi in 2023 and lack of clean are not acceptable in my opinion. Too much noise from the other rooms because of the bad isolation.

Close to transport and good bedding but for the rest; Breakfast always the same, very sweet, cakes that stay for 3 days. Very very small shower, you shouldn't have a high BMI. Not friendly staff and especially not the boss we saw on the last day. No elevator so lighten your suitcases.

The girl at the reception was very friendly. Very nice place and our room was perfect and very clean. It was not in the center but we had the tram next to it. Peaceful neighborhood. Breakfast was correct. On the last day they left us the laundry so we could go pick up our suitcases since our flight left at night.
