Florence Santa Maria Novella Hotels

Very friendly and helpful staff. Quite a walk to the attraction but easily accessible by taxi. The room is spacious and comfortable. Value for money!

the hotel is clean, modern and has good location as the tram is right outside. everything was great except that all my jewellery were stolen while i left my room to roam around the city. all my jewellery was worth at least Eur 3,000. i left them in a box which was placed in my luggage since there was no safe in my room. but when i came back to the room after a whole day out, all the jewellery were gone. the hotel managers were helpful initially, saying they would investigate and compensate me for my loss. but after i gave them all the receipts and credit card transactions of those items which were stolen from me, the managers just ignored my emails despite me trying to ask them for any updates on the progress of my case. at the very least, they could show me the cctv and allowed me to talk to the cleaner/staffs entering my room while i was away but that didn’t happen. i dont even know what is going on now that im already back to my home country, and the hotel did not even bother to update me anything even though they promised to investigate and compensate. hopefully, someone fm the hotel could see this and get back to me please! im honestly traumatised, nvr expected that my stuffs could be stolen right inside my room in a reputable hotel.

It’s located right across from the train station. Lots of cars and human traffic. WiFi worked well. No convenient store nearby at night. Our junior suite is roomy and sofa bed was reasonably good but It’s a bit dark even with all the lights on.

A very good budget hotel. Although the facilities are a bit old, you can tell that the business is renovating because the toilet has been obviously renovated. Considering its price, it can be considered a very good hotel, clean, with a good location (near the tram station), convenient parking and friendly service. But I have to mention that the hotel has poor sound insulation, the windows and walls are a bit old, and the rooms are not well lit.

I booked and used the hotel in advance for one night only. The location and cleanliness of the hotel was perfect. The quality of the front desk staff varied. The person who was on duty on the morning of April 10 was very courteous and helpful. On April 10 at 21:00, when I returned to the hotel, I greeted the staff at the front desk in Italian at the person to the right of the front desk at from the entrance said ”Ai-ya” to me. I'm Asian and not all Asians speak Chinese. I don't know why he had to say that word or what it means. The person who worked there in the morning was very polite. I was disappointed and felt uncomfortable. If you are going to work at the front desk, it would be better to hire educated people.

Wyndham Garden feels like it should be 4 stars or above, but the room is too small and there are no supporting facilities except the restaurant. It is far from the city and the transportation is inconvenient and you can only take a taxi. It is suitable for the needs of the airport. The restaurant is good, breakfast is also available, and the front desk service is friendly. Similar to China’s full season

Hotel is near the railroad station which is good and bad. Train can be heard, there is not so much near the hotel. The hotel probably has the largest room and bathroom among all hotels i stayed this trip in Italy, but the worst breakfast period.

The location is next to the end station of the tram which connects you to the city center (santa maria station) and villa costanza for bus service. Well, a trade-off between the price and convenience in florence city center. The amenities are lacking like hygienic items or kettle but otherwise fairly neat with a nice view from the room.

location is good, just 5 minutes' walk to Florence S.M train station, breakfast is good, bread, cake, yogurt, cheese, ham, tomato, boiled egg, fruits, coffee.., good enough to me. but the hotel is not at the ground floor, you need to walk up about 10 stairsteps, the lift is very old style but safe, the room is clean except the floor bricks are a bit old and they should put hanger or hook on the wall of toilet, nowhere to hang our towels.

The hotel is very close to the train station and there are a few city bus stops nearby. We walked to most attraction spots within 20 minutes. The hotel pictures look great, but the building materials are just average quality and somewhat worn out. Hotel breakfasts are great for the value.
