We stayed unexpectedly in Forges les Eaux after a tyre blow out on the A28 and being taken to a garage in Neufchâtel en Bray. There was nowhere to stay in Neufchâtel so it was an immense relief to find this hotel the owner of whom also recommended a taxi service (which was also difficult to find!). When we arrived the owner was so welcoming. After a difficult few hours he made everyone feel better with the warmth of his welcome. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable.

On our journey home, Forges les Eaux is the perfect overnight stop. Our usual hotel was closed for holidays so decided to try the Sofhotel. Situated on the other side of the railway track it is easy to find. Less than a 5 minute walk to the centre, it is very quiet. Room with bath, lovely view over fields, excellent, reasonably priced, simple but tasty food. Lots of parking. A gem. A great stopover and they welcome cyclists too.

This is a surprisingly large family run hotel. Great welcome and a very nicely decorated reception and public area. The bedroom was quiet and comfortable with everything we needed The evening meal was delicious and nicely presented Nothing was too much trouble. I think that it has 2 star rating but we feel it deserves more

Spent a night when cycling towards Dieppe. Perfectly adequate for the price, and in a way nicely reminiscent of french hotels of yesteryear, clean and comfy enough, decent bar and breakfast provision, friendly staff, somewhere safe to store the bike. That'll do nicely!

A very welcoming overnight hotel. Friendly management and staff and good value of money. Room was not spectacular, but it was clean and comfortable. We had a very pleasant meal in their restaurant and a fulfilling breakfast. Plenty of off street parking in a secure area.

At 6pm we had not found a room for the night and our last try was this Sofhohel! Madame told us that they were full and when I then said we would have to sleep in a filed she called her husband to discuss. What luck as the husband said that we could stay and then I talked to Madame about Mumbai and what fun we had had going to a wedding of Indian friends there and how good curries were and I said I suppose there is no chance of a simple curry tonight- to which Madame said yes!! We came down at the appointed time and after waiting a bit a very good simple curry arrived. We had been put in another part of the dining room where the other guests coudld not see what we were eating Lovely children who were keen to practice their English! My French is reasonable. Small room but perfectly OK Thank you Family for allowing us to stay and for the curry!!

Fuyez , fuyez, et surtout fuyez vraiment car les commentaires et la note de cette hôtel ne reflète pas du tout la réalité. Nous avons réservé 2 nuits dans cette hôtel pour assisté à un mariage . Autant vous dire qu’après 1 nuit nous avons pris nos jambes à notre cou. Rien ne va : les chambres dans un état pitoyable et c’est un euphémisme … Salle de bain vraiment abîmé et surtout impossible de prendre une douche car le tuyau était cassé. Les murs et les plafonds tous tachés et ne parlons pas des moisissures sur les bords , des toiles d’araignées et de la poussière,… Niveau literie 0 , le matelas était complètement mort et faisait un creux au milieu . Nous avons dormi que 4h tellement nous étions mal . Le matin attendez vous à réveiller avec le bruit du train toute les 10 min. Ne comptez pas vous régalé avec le petit dej ultra minimaliste ou il faut supplier pour avoir un croissant ou du pain , et le tout ultra industriel . Bref nous sommes parti après la première nuit et ne comptez pas avoir de ristourne . Nous avons payer plein pot sans avoir un brin de compassion. Fuyez vous serez dessus et allez perdre votre argent tout sa pour mal dormir , mal mangé , ….

Un énorme merci à toute cette superbe famille qui nous a accueilli dans leur hôtel alors que nous étions en difficultés pour être logez ayant notre voiture au garage pour partir en vacance Un accueil d une gentillesse très humaine et très disponible pour le bien être de tous je recommande cette hôtel au grand ❤️ et les remercient profondément gros bisous 💋
