It was a nice experience in the hotel. The insotel team was really nice, especially Gorgia!💕 They organised activities everyday and we're always in a good mood.

The accommodation is basic, but it is clean. The beach setting is beautiful and general vibe relaxed. Staff are lovely, helpful and work so hard. Our children adore it here and the nearby beach is just heaven. Thank you to everyone at Maryland.

What an amazing hotel and staff - The rooms are basic but clean and all you need for a comfortable nights sleep - the setting is stunning, and well cared for exceptionally clean. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Shout out to the cleaning team who don’t seem to stop and it shows the rooms are spotless. The animation team also put their heart and soul into all they do and the kids love it. The food was good and caters for everyone. The beach is unspoiled with lots of rock pools for exploring. Only two things I would mention if you like a cuppa in the morning take a travel kettle and teabags - and be prepared to be way fitter than when you arrived with the steep walk up and down to the pool, bar and restaurant. Do not be out off by some of the reviews - this is well run hotel with a stunning backdrop and surroundings.

Myself and my wife booked insotel club maryland for a weeks holiday in May 2025,we read all reviews before booking and although the famous steep hill a lot of people were saying about was a bit of concern we still decided to book . We enjoyed the experience of the ferry journey from Ibiza to Formentera and the coach transfer to the complex because we have never been to the island before its great to relax and look with someone else driving. We arrived at the complex and instantly were giving a warm welcome by reception staff and given our bungalow room number . We got to our bungalow and yes as stated by many it was a bit dated but comfortable enough for a weeks stay and it was all part of the experience of staying in a relaxed environment . Only gripe we had with the bungalow was no kettle as we are both early risers and need a nice cuppa first thing to get us going for the day and although this put a tiny bit of a dampner on the holiday ot wasn't the end of the world . The walk down from our room to the main area was lovely and it gave us a chance to pass many other guests and chat and say hello etc ,the walk back up after dinner was more worrying for us as we aren't the fittest of people and have slight mobility issues but again it was part of the experience and only for a week . The food in the restaurant was great and plenty of choice so always something different to choose from and we never went hungry. Every single member of staff we met at club maryland were fantastic, polite ,and always smiling and asking if everything was ok etc, each one of them are a credit to the complex but more importantly to themselves, one staff member who was also great was the lad on reception, I didn't get his name but he had a bit of a limp and this gentleman couldn't do enough for you and was a genuine kind caring person who I would guess would go above and beyond for the guests so hats off to him . Formentera is a beautiful island and we are so glad we came to holiday here and as much as Club Maryland was great it's not somewhere we would return to and this is just a personal opinion and nothing against the complex or the staff as said we enjoyed the experience, its just not for us due to the walk but please don't let this put you off this is just our opinion. Thank you Club Maryland

We have just come to an end of our wonderful holiday at club Maryland. I was really worried after reading a lot of negative reviews on here but I really cannot understand the negativity!! Location is stunning right on a beautiful beach and boardwalk, everything is spotlessly clean and staff are all so hardworking and friendly. A bus stop is right outside the hotel that will take you to Sant Francesc Rooms are very basic but clean- fans were sufficient in May to keep the rooms cool at night. Shower was also good enough. They are like traditional Spanish apartments which I loved. Walks to breakfast are through beautiful sun dappled pathways under the trees and I cannot understand why anyone would complain of this walk unless they were disabled. The splash park always had ample sunbeds and my boys loved it here The snacks are the only let down - not great choice opinions - no chips for example but the buffet for breakfast dinner was lovely with stunning views on the terrace. Overall lovely trip for my family and I would recommend as long as you aren’t expecting 5 star luxury

My husband, 2 children (aged 9 and 5), and I have just returned from a week at Club Maryland, and we had the best time. I'll start with the cons first as nowhere is perfect! There is a long transfer from Ibiza airport to the hotel. The bus journey from the airport takes around 10 mins, then a 40 minute ferry transfer (not including wait times for the ferry) and then another coach trip which took around 30 minutes with various drop offs. We had early flights (7am going out and 12pm coming home), so they were long travel days. Also, bear in mind that you're not on Ibiza mainland, and if you want to visit, you will have you use the ferry. We never felt the need to go, but I priced it up for a family of 4, and it was around £100 so it's not cheap! The hotel is set in a pine forest and on a hill. In order to get too/from the main dining hall/main bar/main pool/entertainment area, you need to navigate a very steep hill. Not so bad on the way down (I say this as a relatively fit and healthy person), but the walk back up left me breathless! It's not great for those with limited mobility, and unfortunately, there's no other access, so do bear this is mind if you may struggle. The rooms are dated and are traditional Spanish style. There is also no air-conditioning, as others have mentioned. This didn't bother us as we went in mild weather, but I imagine in the height of summer some will struggle. There are ceiling fans which felt quite powerful when we tried them. The sofabeds are also not very comfy. My children had the bedroom and my husband and I had the sofa beds in the living room. The first night wasn't a great sleep, but after this we got used to it. As we only used the apartment to sleep/shower the outdated style wasn't a deal breaker for us and it was perfectly adequate for our needs. Now for the good! The staff absolutely make this place. Everyone was so polite and friendly and nothing ever felt like any trouble. I have so much admiration for how well the staff speak other languages and were able to communicate with everyone! I have to give a massive shout out to the entertainment team, particularly Martina and Simon. My youngest daughter is autistic and became very fond of Martina and followed her around everywhere. Martina was so patient and kind with her and really made her feel special. She even came and saw us at 7:30am the morning we left, so she could say goodbye to my daughter, knowing how much she would miss her. This little touch was so kind and will never be forgetten! The pools are brilliant. We spent a lot of time at the main pool and the splash pool. We went in low season so never struggled to find a sunbed but even in peak season, I don't think this would be a struggle as there were plenty of beds. The food and drinks options were very good. We never went hungry and there was always lots of fresh cooked foods for lunch and dinner. There was a lot of fish and meats as well as salads, pasta, chips, breads, soups, potatoe
