Disappointing due to very poor housekeeping. Not suitable for guests who expect basic hygiene and cleanliness for hotels. Left over cigarette butts by previous guests found in bathroom. Suspect bedsheets were not changed into new ones for new guests but merely touched up for check-in.
Location is ok (within 15-20 mins walk from Metro) with restaurants (next door) and eateries (nearby). Facilities is basic with no public toilet, in-house restaurant or laundry facilities. Public parking area with ample lots. However, guests will need to tell reception to lift barrier each time they leave to enjoy free parking. Only commendable is Ms Lin (stand-in receptionist) who is kind, understanding, and goes the extra mile to address all issues for hotel guests efficiently and effectively.

I am an old member of Ctrip and rarely give bad reviews. Based on the stay experience, I will objectively evaluate this stay. I originally booked a hotel near Shunde, but because there were too many people in Qinghuiyuan during the Spring Festival, I temporarily decided to go to Chancheng instead. I quickly looked at this Berman Hotel in Nanhai District. It had a score of 4.7, but there were very few reviews. I thought it might be newly opened. However, during the Spring Festival, the prices of ordinary hotels in other popular areas have increased by more than 1-2 times. The price of this hotel is quite reasonable. With the endorsement of the Berman brand, the price is very affordable, which is indeed an advantage. But there are indeed more things to complain about. The hotel is a bit off the beaten track, and it feels like the building was rushed into use before it was fully renovated. The corridors have a bit of smell, but the rooms are okay and acceptable, and not too stinky after ventilation. There are relatively few front desk staff, and the car barrier has not been fully debugged, requiring the front desk staff to come out and control it remotely. We booked two rooms. One of the rooms didn't have all the toiletries in the bathroom. There was only a face towel, no bath towel or anything. The room phone didn't work when calling the front desk. The light in the room was white, and it was different from the Berman I stayed in before. It wasn't cozy and it felt like a guesthouse. The most important thing to complain about is that the quilt is not clean and has several yellow stains. It really is a bummer. The overall feeling is that many details were not ready yet but were rushed into use, which really brought a bad experience to the guests.

The hotel should have just been renovated. It smells a bit strong.
There was a layer of something on the floor of the room, it felt very dusty. The door of the room we were given was open ~ there was an obvious shoe print on the floor.
There are no hangers or floor towels. Ask for them from the front desk later.
There is no full-length mirror. It’s my first time staying at Berman and there is no full-length mirror.
The hot water needs to be turned on for ten minutes in advance and the water temperature is not very hot. The temperature has dropped in the past two days and it is really a bit numb.
It's very dark inside the elevator. It's not very good. There are only two simple light tubes, but they are not bright enough.
It's tolerable if you just want to rest overnight, but if you are here for tourism, I suggest you take a look~
