We had deliberately chosen this hotel because it was within walking distance of the people we wanted to visit. The hotel offered breakfast and different rooms (with beds with a shared mattress (1.60 m wide) and with separate beds). These were the points that led to the decision for this hotel. We booked a room with separate beds and breakfast. What did we get? A nice room on the second floor (no elevator) with a shared mattress! If you're not used to that, you don't even need to try to sleep on it. As soon as one moves, the other is awake too! The window facing the street let in fresh air, unless someone was standing outside smoking, but also street noise and the noise of the church bells. Well, it was OK with earplugs. Breakfast wasn't made for us either, because we were apparently the only guests who had booked breakfast. If that was really the case, I can understand it, but maybe all the guests were told that. We were at least offered a packed lunch instead of breakfast (which we did not accept) and we did not have to pay for the missed breakfast. These two things (shared mattress and no breakfast) would have been worth it for the hotel to contact us after the online booking (a week before arrival!) and inform us of these circumstances. Instead, they let us arrive and presented us with a fait accompli. Otherwise, the staff were very nice and helpful, there is nothing to complain about. I don't think we will try this hotel again.
