Wow! This boutique hotel has thought of every detail. From helping us arrange our wine tour through Stellenbosch (Jordan winery picnics 10/10) to the amenities throughout, we didn’t want to leave. The hotel, the food, the staff and our room were just perfect! 100% recommend a stay here!

A beautiful, cozy and tranquil spot in the middle of wine country, it just doesn't get any better than Akademie. The staff are all so welcoming and helpful, the decor and design of the space is transportive and the mood is positive and relaxing. Stayed with my brother in a cottage with a private swimming pool and patio. The scenery puts you at ease and makes you want to just relax and enjoy. Wish we could've stayed longer! Cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Great location and the grooviest spot in town. Declan and his team have created the most divine spaces in this establishment- a pool area that is a haven, numerous comfy nooks and conversational areas but it is the hospitality that ices the cake. The breakfast is next level and the afternoonsies in the Orangerie are perfect. Every detail is considered from napkins to crockery, cushions to sun hats - beautifully curated! Loved it and hated having to check out - great job team, it’s perfect!

The pool is an absolute dream—serene and inviting, perfect for lazy afternoons with a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc in hand. And the evenings? Pure magic. Sipping cocktails while a pianist plays in the background felt like something out of a movie—romantic, intimate, and utterly unforgettable. Declan and his incredible team provide flawless service, anticipating every need with warmth and genuine care. They made us feel so welcome, going above and beyond in ways both big and small. Every detail is thoughtfully curated to create an experience that is as luxurious as it is personal. Breakfasts were an absolute delight—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. The location could not be more ideal, just steps away from everything Franschhoek has to offer, yet still feeling like a secluded retreat. Akademie redefines hospitality. Every aspect of our stay was perfection, and we truly cannot wait to return. If you're considering a visit, don’t hesitate—this is an experience you’ll treasure forever.

From the moment we stepped through the front door to the moment we left the Akademie Street Boutique Hotel and its staff captivated us. The ambiance, the attention to detail and the service are exquisite without , importantly, being over bearing; we couldn't fault the accommodation and to top that the breakfast served by the pool was amazing and served with such grace.

We just stayed 5 days at this Boutique Hotel and it was absolutely outstanding. No wonder that they won so many Awards ! The welcome by arriving, all the details and the comfort in the beautiful Suite, the extraordinary breakfast in the garden, everything made you frelon at Home. The most important though is the kindness and professionality of the staff ! Always ready to help ! Not to forget the pre-Dinner/Night with live-Musical in the Orangerie! All those Things made made our holiday a very special stay. We highly recommend this Boutique Hotel in Franschhoek.
