After having a weekend here 2 years ago we decided to spend our honeymoon week here and were not disappointed. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed - they provide yummy locally sourced meat and eggs and other things for cooking breakfast in the morning. Ronda and Carl also gave us great advice on spots to visit. Will be back!

Rhonda and Carl are wonderful hosts! The cabin was very well appointed and had everything we needed for a relaxing 3 day getaway. The setting is beautiful, private and restful yet still close to wineries, restaurants and stores. We look forward to a return visit!

We've come back to Walnut Canyon Cabins for visits to Fredericksburg and the surrounding wineries, cities and towns. The cabins are comfortable, private and rustic, which makes them perfect for us. The deer are abundant in this secluded area of the hill country and we enjoy feeding them with the corn provided in the cabin. The owners, Carl and Rhonda, are very accommodating and treat you like family, only wanting the best for you during your stay. We will be back soon.

Beautiful setting and great hosts .Carl and Ronda welcomed us into their home for a glass of adult beverages on arrival. The view from our cabin was beautiful. The breakfast of egg Canadian bacon and biscuits gave us a great stat to the day. Carl gave us info on local hiking and the bats at the old tunnel trail. He even printed entry passes for us at enchanted state park The cabins were super clean and some deer came to visit. We will be back

Carl and Rhonda are friendly and helpful hosts. Setting is tranquil and we enjoyed seeing lots of wildlife. Deer came to the cabin every evening. Cabin was clean and cozy, well equipped, with a comfortable king bed. Loved the fresh eggs, Canadian bacon and fruit in the fridge - we enjoyed a great breakfast every morning. Local coffee was also a treat - we sat on the roof platform with a cup and watched the sunrise daily. Lots to do in Fredericksburg, and we had a great day hiking at nearby Enchanted Rock State Park. Highly recommend seeing the evening bat emergence at Old Tunnel State Park just down the road.

Cozy, quiet, relaxing and scenic. From the view on the back deck, the deer coming to the corn, the cute cows coming over to the snack canister. We really enjoyed our time there. We were able to catch the bats at Ol Tunnel State Park which is only a couple miles down the road. The burgers at the restaurant walking distance to the park were excellent. Making breakfast with the fresh yard eggs and biscuts was a really nice touch as well.

Hospitality is second to none. The cabins are clean and well kept. Carl and Rhonda communicate ahead of time to see if there are any food allergies or special request they can accommodate. The scenery is beautiful and is perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Excellent location for total relaxation. The views are amazing and the cabins are rustic and comfortable. The cabins are closed the old tunnel park. The hosts provided us with the ingredients for a delicious breakfast. The cabins are within a 20 minute drive to Fredricksburg.
