The Guest House at Tripping Gnome Farm is a light-filled and airy space featuring 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a large open living area with a gas fireplace. A former barn renovated in 2022, the house is situated on our working organic farm and has access to several miles of hiking trails from the backyard. Guests here also have access to kayaks that they can use to navigate Kelsey Brook, which leads to the Haraseeket River. A fire-pit provides a cozy gathering spot for guests as well. Our quiet and idyllic farm property is located only 5 minutes from downtown Freeport, home of the L.L. Bean flagship store as well as a multitude of other outlet stores to satisfy everyone's shopping needs. This property exceeded all expectations. The home is in pristine condition, and the aesthetic is magazine-worthy. Sheets, bedding, towels, even bath rugs, were quality. It was truly a vacation to feel this comfortable. We hope to be back and take advantage of the activities as well. They have thought of everything. Beyond a first rate experience, this is a unique setting, with great proximity, and thoughtful hosts.

We had a fantastic stay at the Tripping Gnome Farm Guest House! The house itself is absolutely beautiful — spotless, stylish, and incredibly comfortable, perfect for our two families with kids ranging from 4–9. Every detail is thoughtfully designed, and the turf house was a big hit with the kids as their own little secret hangout spot.We filled our days kayaking, hiking, playing on the fun disc golf course, and picking up delicious farm-fresh produce from the charming farm store. Robin and Harry were such gracious and welcoming hosts — they made us feel right at home.The location is also perfect: peaceful and scenic but still close to everything we wanted to do in the area. We can’t wait to come back soon!

A Serene Countryside Oasis
Robin and Harry were the perfect hosts and their property was both beautiful and inviting. The Tripping Gnome guest house was comfortable and had everything we needed for a family weekend away. Only minutes from the hubbub of Freeport ME shopping, it was nice to return to the absolute serenity of the farm. Thank you for sharing your oasis with us!

Best Verbo booking I ever did
We absolutely loved our stay! Robin and Harry were lovely and so accommodating with the timing we checked in to allow us to be in early. It’s located on their property so I felt like our place was secure. The Vrbo itself was so beautiful. the beds were comfortable the towels weren’t scratchy, but plump and, clean and lovely like I have at my house. There was plenty of room for us to bring in breakfast food in their fridge. It was nice and quiet. I love that they have a store where we could buy their homegrown mushrooms and micro greens. I can’t say enough for how it was such a perfect fit for our family and friends .

Absolutely Amazing
This farmhouse is unbelievable! Beautiful location tucked off the road with amazing walking trails and wildlife. The hosts are incredible and very nice. Overall 10/10
