We just had an amazing 5 days in this wonderful hotel! What did we love: The food: delicious breakfast, lunch and five course dinner. We loved that we had the same table for every meal, really gives a home from home feel. The staff were extremely friendly. The shuttle to the ski area for skiing is brilliant and the spa facilities are excellent. My husband and 2 daughters went skiing each day and there are so many mountain options close by. I did one of the hotel’s organised winter walks and it was breathtaking. We are booking up for next year!

This is an outstanding hotel, one of the best I have ever stayed in. We had a short break with our family. Everything was managed with great professionalism. The food and wine were excellent. The waiting staff were friendly, providing a very good level of service. There were many families staying and I particularly like the way that everybody was accommodated, particularly at mealtimes. The swimming pool and spa facilities were first class, with provision for families and adults alike. There were activities provided. I went on an excellent guided snowshoe hike. The family that own the hotel were very much part of the team and should be proud of what they have achieved. The hotel is low in the valley. The local bus services, however, are frequent (and free) enabling access to higher slopes for skiing and hiking. Very highly recommended. Access is very easy from Innsbruck Airport being a 50 minute taxi ride away.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and look after you. The hotel is set in the beautiful Austrian Alps and is stunning. The food is amazing. Every night is different and has an outstanding selection of dishes. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The atmosphere is very relaxing and it’s one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. We will be back!

We’ve had a wonderful family holiday at hotel Held. Our room was an Oak family suite with two bedrooms, separate living room, shower room and separate spa bath. Plenty of space and very comfortable. Only downside was no kettle or tea/coffee in the room but we brought a travel kettle. Food was outstanding. Seven course dinner every night. Wellness facilities and activity programme was excellent. Local area was amazing. Bikes were free to use and there is the wonderful Zillertal way next to the river which is a flat cycle path. Cable to car to Spieljoch was a real highlight. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay, staff were all so friendly and helpful.

We spent yet another excellent week in Hotel Held this August. Throughout the years they keep the same high quality of service, food, rooms and facilities. The hotel is run by the Family, and one can see the obvious difference when compared to chain hotels. Everything is taken care of with personal attitude. There was air conditioning added in rooms and restaurant recently, which is rather unique thing in Tirol hotels - truly a bliss in hot summer days. Garden nicely kept, great place to relax. All in all - absolutely recommended :)

Very nice hotel where everything is super clean and well maintained. Superior room Spieljock was stylish and it has an air conditioning, which is quiet and efficient. We also liked very much the breakfast, the possibility to use the hotel bikes (free of charge), the swimming pond and the outdoor sauna where they also organise the sauna infusion experience. As an improvement, it would be lovely if the whole terrace would not be a smoking area especially during the five course dinner. The dining room would also benefit from fans during the hottest summer days. The afternoon cake buffet is a nice touch, but the experience would be perfect if also coffee and/or tea would be included.

It was five years ago we first came to the Held for our Silver Wedding Anniversary as we honeymooned very nearby. Now we were back for our 30th. Friends joined us on this occasion and the whole five day experience was a total delight. Staff and management, or to be more correct, all ‘the family’ were fantastic and we were treated like royalty. We used all the facilities other than the bikes (!) and dined so we’ll I am still trying to loose the weight. Everyone had a great time and I even got a chance to have a full day’s walk up the local mountain where the views back were amazing. There seriously is nothing I believe the whole team could have done more to enhance our experience and for this we are both so very very grateful. Thank you.

Only English couples (x 2) staying in hotel, daily menu translations provided and nothing too much trouble. Food and wine excellent, service up to usual Austrian standards. Not cheap but still value for money. Stayed in two first floor Spieljoch superior rooms, beautiful stone pine clad, comfortable and daily maid service/cleaning totally inobtrusive. Thoroughly recommended. Thank you family Held.
