Oriental kind of boutique hotel. Like the Wenru decor with shelves full of Chinese books, pond with fishes in the lobby, Guzhen playing during dinning hours. The oriental furnishing in the room is one of its kind, and matches well with its ancient oriental ambience & architecture. Already planning to come here annually.
Can improve on the breakfast setting since they will be always be a growing demand with international travellers, especially those with special dietary vegan/vegetarian (including lacto-ovo able to take eggs & dairy products) requirements. Fried rice & noodles can be fried without pork lard oil. More varieties of standard continental breakfast are welcomed too.

I booked this room for my mum and cousin for 3N4D stay. I chose this hotel for the location within the Sanfang Qixiang, and walking distance to foodie streets and the Ancestral Hall and Museum of Lin Zexu. The setting of the hotel was exactly what I was expecting, bringing us back to living in ancient Chinese house but with modern comfort. The service from the door concierge (2 gentlemen) to the reception counter (all staff and GM Assistant, Ms Qiu Guixiang) and room service (level 3 staff) was top-notch. The service we received was ever so warm and heartfelt, always able to accommodate our requests including laundry assistance and standing fan, helping us with our luggage and transport . I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a niche boutique hotel, and not an international hotel with full-range facilities.

It is a lovely & convenient place to stay. The staff are friendly & helpful in giving directions to places of interest. Many eateries around the hotel & you can walk to the three lanes & six alleys for food & souvenirs. Will love to stay there again.

The hotel is located in Wenrufang, Sanfang Qixiang, with a superior geographical location. When I arrived at the hotel in the evening, the beautiful front desk lady upgraded my room. The service uncle helped me carry my luggage into the room and introduced the hotel facilities and related free services. The room is antique, clean and tidy, and is equipped with the hotel's unique mountain spring water for making tea. The entire hotel is well laid out, as if traveling through time in an instant. The firecrackers at the gate are in full bloom, attracting many tourists to take pictures. Next to the hotel is Wenru No. 9, a Michelin one-star hotel in Fuzhou. Guests staying there can enjoy a 12% discount. With the wine given by the hotel, I tasted Michelin delicacies with my family in the second hall of the ancient house: Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, Southern Fried Liver with Lychee Meat, Stir-fried Double Crisp, Pickled Fish, Taro Mash, and enjoyed the special God of Wealth opening ceremony. Although the restaurant service staff are a little older, everyone is very dedicated. In short, it is very worthwhile to live and eat in Shuxiang Wenru~
