The hotel is in a very good location. It takes only ten minutes to walk to the ancient city wall and the beach. The room is large, clean and sanitary, especially the bathroom, which has a bathtub and complete facilities. The room we booked has a large bed and a small bed. The problem with the room is that the air conditioner is facing the large bed, which is very uncomfortable. The small bed is in the attic, so the cold wind can't get through and it's a bit stuffy. The large bed is very high. I have to jump to get in and out of the bed with my height of 172cm. If a child sleeps, there is a hidden danger. The service is very good overall. The problem lies in breakfast. Our group of 6 people had to leave early and had ordered the required varieties in advance the day before, so we arrived at the restaurant on time at 7:30 in the morning to prepare for the meal. The waiter asked enthusiastically whether coffee and tea should be served first, and we agreed. Another group of people arrived at the restaurant 5 minutes later. After waiting for 20 minutes, our meals started to be served one after another, and we were served alternately with the group of people who came later. At 8:10, our meals were not served yet. We said that we were running out of time and hoped that coffee and tea would be served first so that we could drink them and leave. When we had to leave at 8:25, there was only tea, unfortunately, no coffee. Therefore, the breakfast experience diluted the perfect experience before breakfast. I hope the hotel can improve it.

The entrance is small and we almost missed it, but the interior has recently been renovated and looks really nice, fitting to the Dutch architectural style. The rooms are minimal, but spacious enough. The bathroom is big. We came as a family of three, so one person stayed at the upper loft within the room. Breakfast is standard for Sri Lankan hotels.

Well located in the fort area in a colonial era building with courtyard and trees. Quiet even with the shipping streets just outside. Spacious room with an additional bed upstairs though steps quite steep so be careful. Good sized bathroom with rain shower. Lovely breakfast was made to order. Friendly helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Couldn’t fault this lovely boutique hotel. Beautifully appointed and spacious room. Perfect location in the heart of the Fort. Staff were, as always during our travels in SL, welcoming, friendly and efficient. I prefer a traditional breakfast but the complimentary English breakfast here was great nonetheless. Highly recommended.

The accommodation is located in a great spot in Galle Fort. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. A big thank you for that. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Please note that in city accommodations, there are always sounds of daily life. The value for money was good.

Great and friendly service from staff. rooms are clean, strong aircon and super fast wifi. Beds are comfortable qnd had great sleep here. Amazing breakfast sread, food was excellent. Close to shops cafes and attractions. highly recommended!

Our stay at Ivy Lane Galle Fort was a wonderful and comfortable experience. This beautifully maintained villa features Dutch interiors that create a cozy and cool atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing family getaway. If you're looking to explore Galle Fort and its Dutch architecture, I highly recommend this place. We booked their Deluxe Room on a double-sharing basis, which came with a balcony and a veranda. The room and washroom are a bit compact, but manageable for two people. The staff were friendly, pleasant, and always supportive, ensuring we had everything we needed. While the breakfast was decent, the overall stay was truly worth the price. A great choice for anyone visiting Galle Fort!"
