Hotel Villa Florida & Suite Apartments

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Villa Florida with our two young kids. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel staff were very accommodating and kind with our children. Silvia in particular offered lots of assistance on how to navigate the ferry and things to do in town. Breakfast was delicious and the setting unbeatable! We’d love to return one day.

I can absolutely confirm all the wonderful 5* reviews here for Hotel Villa Florida which is a small, 28 room family owned hotel. As a travel advisor planning many trips for clients, this hotel is the epitome of old school luxurious hotel comfort. We stayed in the Villa Rosenhof annex which houses the deluxe suites and at over 400 sf. our suite had a bedroom that was extremely spacious with two large wardrobes with interior lighting. In addition, we had a large living room with a desk, large dining table with an extra twin bed AND a stylish sofa and matching upholstered chairs. The breakfast terrace overlooking the water was breathtaking in addition to a large pool with a bar serving a light lunch and aperitifs. There is also a small pool for kids in a neighboring grassy area. The breakfast buffet has many hot items as well as lots of pastries, fruit and local delicacies. Finally, on our last day, we met a young family from Denmark who has stayed at the hotel on 4 separate occasions so I can only guess there are many other repeat guests. I hope to be one of them! There are so many reasons we enjoyed our stay. Lake Garda is simply beautiful and the hotel is beautifully situated on the Gardone Riviera. Lovely room with a balcony looking out on the lake. Breakfast is wonderful and again, taken on the terrace overlooking the lake. We especially liked the help and service from the staff, Alessandra and Sara especially. They helped us make our trips out special.Lots of great restaurants within a 20 minute walk - we loved Agni Angeli and Il Giglio. One thing to bear in mind is the cost of hotel transfers from Verona Airport - 140 euros each way in our case. Our driver also insisted on picking us up very early on Sunday morning and got us to Verona Airport 45 minutes before the bag drop was even open. Meant missing the hotel breakfast and we felt this was all in his interest to squeeze in other pick- ups later that day. The one thing we would fo differently if we return.

The Hotel Villa Florida is truly a special place. My husband and I just arrived home after a 4 day stay and I don't have enough words to adequately describe our experience. We were looking for a place to rest and relax after our daughter's wedding. We arrived exhausted and from the minute we walked through the doors we knew we had made the right choice. The grounds are magical. The view is beyond words. Our room was generous, spotlessly clean, and so incredibly comfortable. Every day, we lingered over the sumptuous breakfast for more than an hour as the staff continuously brought us fresh cappuccinos, espressos and americanos to complement the unbelievable buffet that far exceeded our expections. But even with all this, it was the staff who made our stay worthy of remembrance. No request was too much. Every question was answered with a smile. We were treated like royalty. And at check out, when I asked if I could purchase a cup and saucer with their logo to have a reminder of our incredible stay (the only souvenir I purchased on my entire Italian vacation), the staff scrambled to find me a match set, wrapped, boxed and bagged before our taxi arrived to whisk us away. I can say, without hesitation, we will return in the future with our family to make more perfect memories.

We had the most magical week at Villa Florida, we did not want to leave. Family run hotel with an exceptional location on Lake Garda. I cannot praise enough all the staff for their kindness, friendliness, smiles, nothing is too much trouble. Alessandra at reception is so helpful, Sylvia as well. The breakfast is by far one of the best we've had in hotels, fresh, home made variety of local produce. I can compare the quality with the breakfast we had at the Belmond Hotel in Taormina. The hotel is medium size so doesn't feel crowded, the pool is large enough for all the family to enjoy at the end of the day. There are so many activities to do around the Lake and great restaurants too. Even during peak season, the staff was able to help us find last minute tables to book. I highly recommend the hotel (even though I wish to keep it for myself only!) Thank you again and definitely you will see us again!
