Where do I begin? Let's start the staff. Upon arrival the front desk was helpful and gave us all the info about the hotel, meals, spa and room. Then our first night there we went to dinner and I swallowed my drink wrong and all of sudden I had a hard time breathing. I had stridor. The staff made sure I was ok and took me outside to see if that would help. It did a little. Then went to the lobby where the manager of the property Olaf personally make sure I was ok and stayed with me and my husband. We decided to call the ambulance and looking back it wasn't needed. But to be on the safe side. Everything went well. The next day all the staff made sure I ok and checked on me. For dinner the next night, I didn't want to go to the restaurant as I was a little embarrassed so Olaf took our order and personally delivered our meals. So wonderful. The food is very tasty. Thank you to the staff for making sure I was ok. Now, for the hotel. The room was a great size with a balcony. Just wish it wasn't cloudy so we could see the mountains. The bathroom is a little small but the water pressure in the shower is perfect. The bed was so comfy. There is a shuttle that can take us where we wanted to go so we booked to the Top of Germany at the hotel and the shuttle took us to the train station and after, we called and he picked us up at the train station. The spa!!! The spa is great! It has an outdoor heated pool which is so relaxing. Several saunas with different temps. Steam rooms also with different temps too. There is also an indoor pool and hot tub and more saunas. Lounges to relax in and drinks and fruit to stay hydrated. We enjoyed it both nights we were there. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this Hotel.

We had a superb 6 nights in a family alpine suite at Obermuhle in August. Because of issues with our daughter's passport, we had had to delay our visit by a few days. The hotel were extremely kind and accommodating and rearranged our booking for us. The hotel facilities were exceptional and kept us and our two children (7 and 5) very happily entertained. The food was always very good, with plenty of choices. Our kids did struggle a bit sitting through a long evening meal each night, although on several of the evenings they were distracted by the entertainment or craft packs that were provided by the staff. What made this holiday so incredible though were the staff. They really were so very friendly and helpful. We were greeted warmly the first night and given a selection of cold cuts and bread, despite not arriving until almost midnight. We used the shuttle service every day and very much enjoyed our chats with the drivers, who were always happy to offer advice or suggestions. And a huge thank you to the gentleman at the front desk (I am so sorry I didn't get your name) who always helped me practice my (poor) German. Many thanks to everyone at the hotel, it was an absolute joy staying there.

Maybe if you travel with kids you will find it more suitable for you. Rooms have no air conditioning, dinner was very disappointing, dishes were ״sophisticated״ but not tasty. Some dishes were too salty. Breakfast was average. The receptionist was very nice and friendly, room was clean.

Absolutely outstanding hotel, the best we’ve ever stayed around the world. The customer service was outstanding, the staff were not only friendly but incredibly helpful and nothing was an issue for them. The food was incredible and they manage my allergies amazingly. Room was super quiet and very clean. And the spa was perfect, can recommend a massage. Free shuttles to pretty much anywhere in garmisch with such friendly drivers, it really was an absolute treat and we will be back next year with our 2 children as it is so child friendly.

Too strict reservation policy. Otherwise perfect hotel with superb services, wellness and kitchen. I personally appreciate very friendly access to pets coming with guests. There is also very pleasant possibility to walk with dogs in the close surroundings

Hotel Obermühle is the perfect Garmisch hotel. My standards are high, and I would say the service is 5-star, not 4-star. The concierges are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the restaurant is staffed exceptionally well: you're never wating for a drink refill, your next course, or the bill to sign. After staying here, I've realized you can't over-value a fully staffed restaurant. The rooms are clean and well-appointed and the common areas are relaxing and nicely decorated. My husband and I chose Hotel Obermühle because we had a gift card for an overnight stay; when we realized it would expire in September of this year, I wanted to book a weekend there but saw that it was almost fully booked through the summer. I emailed the hotel, and was answered quickly and kindly. They made sure we could be accommodated---during peak season!! We also made use of the shuttle that's available to go to Parnachklamm and to go to the train station. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
