Andros Holiday Hotel

As others have pointed out this hotel has seen better days and is now a little tired. However we had a very pleasant and quiet ten days staying here and were very impressed by the staff and their friendly nature. Although the building itself is old, probably having been built when the island of Andros was first welcoming tourists, and was maybe the only hotel open at that time, it is both large and well landscaped. The food - Breakfast only is served - was unexciting and basic, the room was well decorated, large, clean and acceptable, and the servicing of our room by Svetlana was excellent. But - this hotel is not a good choice if you have small children, are even mildly disabled or require a real beach. The pool is too deep for small kids, being 1.10 metres deep at the shallowest part, and slopes steeply to 3 metres, there is no lifeguard. The hotel is built on an escarpment and there are many steps everywhere, the main building being about forty feet above pool level - it is not wheelchair or walking stick friendly. The hotel has a private ‘Beach’, this is tiny, very rocky, at the bottom of a steep paved slope and has about five sun loungers. The access to swim from the beach is over submerged rocks. The hotel has a tennis court, but no children’s playground, although older children may enjoy exploring the extensive wild gardens and trees. We had a great holiday here, but needed to travel to Batsi, $15 by taxi, to find a good child and adult friendly beach which was enjoyable and safe. Would I go again? Yes, but would plan a little better next time. The hotel is quite OK for adults or as an overnight stay, but really needs some serious TLC and updating to accommodate folk today comfortably. Having said that, it is a three star hotel and one gets what one pays for.

Most uncomfortable bed in the world. Bad bathrooms, bad facilities. loads of steps, awful, unhealthy breakfast. Accomondation not worth a penny. Such places should not be open to book. Less than 1 star. Should be shut down. To πιο άβολο κρεββάτι. Είναι απαράδεκτο ξενοδοχείο- η εταιρεία που το διαχειρίζεται πρέπει η να το ανακαινίσει η να το κλείσει. Δεν θα έπρεπε να υφίστανται τέτοια ξενοδοχεία το 2023. Μην μείνετε εκεί.

third world and outdated accommodation among the worst in Andros. the toilet had a lingering smell of mold and cesspool as did the whole complex. terrible humidity, also there were cockroaches and mosquitoes. all the machines inside the "room" were obsolete it was only worth 10 euros also the water in the bathroom is dirty cold, and bitter if they called the health department they would shut it down. don't ever go i was very sad i went even 1 night. I didn't eat anything because I hate eating there. DON'T GO THERE

We loved this little hotel, hood location for walking into town/port, where there are bars & restaurants. Lovely pool area & bar, a special mention for Paulina who was absolutely great, very efficient & friendly, she also makes great cocktails.Thank you for the laughs. Hotel was nice & clean. Also thank you to Olga on reveption who was very helpful & friendly .All staff were friendly.
